Reply with quote | #61 | To the ChineseSBFederation representative - most of us on this site (and, I would offer a good guess, most others in this country) are extremely pleased that athletes from other countries wish to, can, and do come here, and have the opportunity to not only participate in our sports and culture, but share their individual lives, desires, talent, personalities AND their culture with "our children", so we might, collectively learn and expand our knowledge in a like manner.
Many of us have a tendency, at times, to forget that we ALL live in the same world, basically want the same things for our children, and often become a bit stuffy and overbearing. This exchange of our youngsters, for segments of their lives, can ONLY be positive for us all, and I, for one, welcome what this athletic interchange can bring to the USA.
The words of the athletic representatives of your organization, have always brightened MY day, with their comments. I'm only sorry that "I" haven't had the personal opportunity to meet them, individually. I am sure they have been great representatives of your government and, as far as I'm concerned, ALWAYS welcome additions to this country.
The best to you all and I hope this exchange can and will continue. __________________ Tim, Tucson - Fan, Arizona Softball - Now looking toward Oklahoma City and the WCWS in 2010 |

Reply with quote | #62 | A suggestion - for those of you that may still have questions as to what this "federation" does/how it operates, you might want to visit their web site @ http://www.chinesesoftballfederation.com/.
It's rather comprehensive, and I think it might answer a good number of questions you may still have, re: their bringing Chinese softball players to this country. __________________ Tim, Tucson - Fan, Arizona Softball - Now looking toward Oklahoma City and the WCWS in 2010 |

Reply with quote | #63 | interesting that you have to register to be able to play softball. Does the government have to O.K. you before you are authorized to play ??? Like the underage Olympic gymnasts. Wake up people life in the Communist world is not like America. |

I'm old, Hammer, but exactly what era (or planet?) do you come from. Time, I think, to hitch up your pants, and pull yourself into the present century. WOW! __________________ Tim, Tucson - Fan, Arizona Softball - Now looking toward Oklahoma City and the WCWS in 2010 |

After the Chinese National Games were completed we currently have 2 players hoping to find a NJCAA program. They have experience playing at the elite level and can bring maturity, experience and discipline to a Junior College program. They hope to be enrolled by January 2010. They are both elite level offensive players. And play solid Asian defense. Neither is a pitcher or catcher. But could play most all other defensive positions if needed.
