This game is the 3rd game Last years super regionals. This line up has to include at least 3 incoming freshmen. How would you make up your line up?

I'm a little confused on the hypothetical . If it's the third game of last year's super regional , that's means you can use last year's seniors , right ? I don't see the point in that (with this year's incoming freshmen ? ) . When I get a chance I'll try to do one for South Carolina , but based on a third game in next year's SR . That makes more sense to me .

My fault. I should have said also based on the 2017 team. I really wanted to see where you all would put in the incoming freshmen.

LSU Lineup:

1.) Sr. Emily Griggs CF
2.) So. Aliyah Andrews LF
3.) So. Amanda Doyle 3B
4.) So. Sydney Springfield 1B
5.) Jr. Becca Schulte 2B
6.) Shelby Sunseri (Fr) DH/ P
7.) Cristiona Caccamise (Fr.) C
8.) Jr. Amber Serrett SS
9.) Taryn Antoine (Fr) RF

Pitcher: Sr. Carley Hoover/ Allie Walljasper (Would throw both just because they're both so good)

I think So. Michal Cunningham will win the starting Catcher job, both I had to have 3 Freshmen in the lineup. This will be a very young LSU lineup…

If Hoover is healthy, that one ain't close

And, catcher is going to be wide open. Freshman catching would not shock me

I'm as big of a Hoover advocate as there is out there, but the Hoover vs. Walljasper discussion could more often come down to who the opponent is.  They both offer a different look, and that can be exploited to LSU's benefit.

I think Hoover is better equipped to face a team twice on a weekend, but Walljasper is an excellent changeup. Fair point to be sure

Agreed on the better equipped part.  I've just been a fan of a team that was burned by the rise just enough to create flashbacks, so I always like the contrast of a pitcher who can go down in the zone with a good changeup.

My thoughts too. Nicky Dawson transferred in as well, guessing 2nd. They also have 2 returning pitchers and 1 transferring in.

The drill was to get 3 freshmen in the lineup. Neither Wallace or Dawson would be a freshmen.

Honestly, I hadn't even heard that Wallace and Dawson were transferring in. That definitely changes a lot as we need a productive catcher and a replacement for Ari Hawkins at second. Who is the pitcher transferring in? Kendall Potts should be back from injury next season. She was the #2 behind Heather Stearns in 2016. Glenn Moore is definitely making major moves in Waco. With my new knowledge of the transfers my lineup with the freshmen would be:

Jessie Scroggins CF
Kyla Walker LF
Carlee Wallace C
Shelby Friudenberg 1B
Alyssa Avalos (F) RF
Hannah Thompson (F) DP
Taylor Ellis SS
Caitlin Charlton 3B
Nicky Dawson 2B

Lexi Koltz (F) P

Great line up Demi turner is scary fingers crossed she stays injury free this season and I believe with a year under their belt brown and Hemphill will produce a lot more RBIs for Alabama. Especially Demi getting on base.

The top 6 could hit home runs and start rally's with 2 strikes and 2outs

Yes Andrews and Griggs imo are really fast players and can cause havoc on any defense
