Everyone in the SEC is in the top 25.  Several didn't fare all that well.  I was just as impressed by about ten other teams as by Oregon.  I'm not so sure that the best win wasn't by Florida State, beating Texas State twice in Texas.  Florida was in Florida.  Nobody stood out.  Some stood down a bit.  Losing two fo three to NM State wasn't impressive, even on the road.

Much too early to be worrying about polls and power rankings.

One thing of which we can all be certain: SEC teams, and to a lesser degree the Pac 12, will annually dominate the Top 25 (and Top 10) of every poll, starting in the pre-season and continuing right up to the postseason. And that's fine by me; after all, there *are* some great teams/programs in those conferences.

But the rubber won't actually meet the road until postseason play begins. That's when we'll start to learn which teams are for real and which were pretenders from the get-go.

So why don't we just enjoy the ride, cheer for our team(s) and hope they'll still be around come tournament time.

Exactly that.

Ellyson -- if she pitches like that all season -- makes ULL analagous with Ole Miss in my mind, albeit with the Rebels having much more speed and little power, and the Cajuns vice versa
