So he'll be lucky to coach any of his most recent commits then?

2023 commits plus 4 means they'll graduate in 2028, right?

Good for him.  So, what kind of salary increase did he get?  A contract extension doesn't mean a lot if the pay didn't increase.

Personally, I think 10-year contracts / extensions are extreme, especially if the money is guaranteed (unless terminated with cause).  Coaches' performances often times go up and down based on how the competition is doing.  So, if you tie yourself to a coach for 10+ years, a lot can happen down the road.

How many other coaches use Texas as leverage for a pay raise before they actually hire someone?

UT will end up settling  for a mid-major coach.

Does Jimmy Sexton represent softball coaches yet, or just mainly college football/basketball coaches?  If he does, there will be a bunch - all of them will get a raise, and 1 of them will get the UT job.

Still waiting to see what kind of salary increase he received, and if he is getting paid more than the Mary Wise or Mouse Williams.  What kind of salary increase did Mouse get with his recent 10 year contract extension (supposedly because Texas showed interest in hiring him to run the T&F program)?

Every top 20 coach in America needs to send Connie Clarke a thank you card, and maybe 5% of the increase they get.   Clarke could make twice as much on that 5% cut than she did coaching!

Me too.  My guess is about $750k.  I think he was in the $450k range currently.

I predict he is still below Mary Wise's salary, and probably below the T&F coach as he coaches both the men and women.  Will have to research to see the salary of the recent women's hoops head coach.
