I hope this hasn't been discussed somewhere and I just missed it.

How come we can't view other members' profiles or is it just me? We have information and profile pictures, but what's the use if nobody can see it?

Thanks.

What is the advantage of reading other posters' profiles? Just curious.

If nobody can read them, why have them?

My thought exactly . . .  otherwise are they just there for the webmasters curiosity?  It would be nice to know more about the some of the people I am interacting with; might actually encoutrage more civility in some posters if they weren't quite so anonymous.

We have had this format for 5 years and no one has complained.
How about leaving Well alone.
Those that want fans to know who they are do put their name, and can also put their profile.
Also do not forget that there are coaches and players that are involved on this site and prefer not to be noted.
Also if you want to know more about someone PM them and give them your profile and ask for theirs, thus if they want they will let you know who they are.

Hammer - Excellent advice. I don't care who reads my profile, but I recognize the imperative in others to remain anonymous because of their situation in life.

That's interesting, but I believe (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong), that you were one of the few posters that berated my opinion and told me that my opinion was not worth the "paper" it was written on because of my anonymity.  I was basically baited into identifying myself in order to have my opinion heard and to this day there are times I wish I hadn't taken the bait.

Jim - I am really sorry if I did that, and I can't believe that I did. It is possible that I made a general statement about those who hurl accusations, call nasty names, or are downright nasty with vitriol and then hide behind anonymity or several poster names. I would never say anything like that about an intelligent albeit anonymous post, either positive or negative, if the poster were in need of his/her anonymity (an example would be a coach or a parent of a player). Perhaps you are grouping me with some other posters and assigning one of their posts to me?? I would never ever use a phrase like "your post isn't worth the paper it's written on". That is emotional garbage used to incite another poster. I try simply not to play that silly game, although I do admit to losing my temper a couple of times (to the same poster if my memory serves me correctly and it wasn't you) during the many posts I am responsible for on UCS over the years.
