Taylor had pretty good sophomore and junior years I thought, sub 2.00 ERA's

Looks like she has been hit a bit early on this year. Maybe she turns it around.

Wasn’t Rachel Garcia #11 on Flo’s 2015 list?

She was #12 in the updated list. I'm not sure who did the scouting reports but Garcia throws higher than mid 60s (and did the first time I saw her pitch as well) and Barnhill still doesnt have a change, at least that she can throw consistently in games.

As far as mcqullin, I like her a lot and have said before that I think she is very good (alrhough not truly elite). But, it's hard to say shes had the same impact as most of the other players including many of those below her on that list.

Don’t know how big an upset that is. I did see they’re having the same issues with errors that Arizona is having. They had SIX in this game against Boise, and 3 or 4 against UCLA yesterday. Gonna be a long year if they can’t clean that up.

Boise State just beat three straight teams that are all receiving votes in the Top 25 poll: LMU, Long Beach State, and Ole Miss.

Their 10-inning affair with LMU gave the Lions their only loss so far this year.

LMU hasn't beat anybody. Long Beach State who hasn't beat anyone was ranked based on having Cielo Mesa who is at ASU now. Ole Miss over rated.

McNeese has had very strong teams over the years

But A&M simply isn't good this year

A&M should’ve lost to Rutgers. And someone should tell those Aggie announcers to take a second and breathe. It’s ok for us to just see the game play out and not have to hear how the stadium is the best in the country and that we should “schedule a tour” of the stadium.

A&M has always had some weird superiority complex, a strange bunch.

Not yet, but LMU is a good team. They just played UCLA very tough in their house in a 3-1 loss. LMU loaded the bases in the Top of the 7th but Garcia was able to retire three straight. LMU starts 7-8 underclassmen a game

A little bit of both. [wink] Technically A&M was ranked higher than McNeese at the time, and it was surprising since it was at A&M

I'd say upset b/c ATM was at home but certainly not a surprise. McNeese upsets a team or two like this every year. They have a really good program.

LMU did beat a good Northwestern team at Fullerton weekend 1.

One team that's been kinda surprising out of the gate has been North Texas. They're 8-1 under a first year coach Rodney DeLong, currently have the NCAA hits leader in Katie Clark, and run ruled A&M opening weekend! Pretty good start so far, I'll be curious to see how they do over the next couple weeks as they play Baylor, TTU, ULL, and UT-Arlington. Any other teams you're surprised by after two weeks?

Why did the game against UCLA vs Boise State get cancelled?

LSU just completely melts down in the top of the 6th and loses 7-5  at home to Stanford. All 7 runs for Stanford came in the 6th inning. Play Memphis and Michigan tomorrow.

Absolutely stunning. As a Stanford fan, I simply hope this is finally the year we get back to the postseason. This win goes a huge way toward that goal.

Gorsuch has really struggled early this year, especially with all the walks and HBP's

Defense let that game get away though, you can't drop a strikeout then lose the ball, and you can't get a routine grounder with plenty of time and sail it over the 1B head.

Great win for Stanford.
