Ye they threw the ball around like a JV team. This game was meaningless, albeit a bigger win for BC than loss for Ole Miss. He starts his Freshman Borgen, who is a strong looking lefty. 3 runs, 1 earned and gets the hook. So Bruce, the All Freshman Pitcher from 2017 is inserted to stop the bleeding and it only got worse.

I would like to have seen Borgen remain in the game and be given the time to work thru some things. She looks to have one of the better curve balls and throw with good velocity. She just needs reps. And BC is the perfect team to let things play out. Certainly looks better than Bruce to. I'd expect her to be a better #2 than Bruce going forward as she give up alot fewer runs and BAA is very good. Ole Miss pitchers don't get alot of Ks from anybody so will be interesting to see how long they survive with a staff full of contact pitchers.

Losses to BC and Southern Miss will most definitely weigh in on the RPI situation. Especially if the Rebels has any dreams of hosting

I pull for Coach Smith to lose every game he coaches. It's your bed, lie in it. Liar.

Can we get an Ole Miss vs. Maryland three game series?

This board would implode

Not really. Both BC and Southern Miss are unlikely to be in the bottom 50 RPI so no RPI penalty will be assessed. A loss to them counts no differently than a loss to Florida would. They may weigh as "bad losses" to the selection committee, however.

UConn up 5-1 on Texas A&M, bottom of the 6th A&M up with 1 out. UConn pitcher just killing them with the change.

OK... If that holds up, that would be the most shocking result, right?

By far even?

I think so. UConn extends lead in top of 7. Now 6-1 with the bottom of 7th left. (Why are they screwing up WA's rpi [frown])

The UConn pitcher looked similar (like she'd blow away in a good wind too). She did a pretty good job of hitting the edges early but was leaving some meatballs in there toward the end. BAD loss for TxAM.

Good God. It can happen to any team.

And it does. I love this game.
