So "Little Mike" is deeply offensive to you, but words like "token hire," and a "pu$$y from a family of pu$$ies" don't bother you in the least, right?

Wait a minute. Read the RC report. How can Lotief yell if he can't yell? Doesn't he have a trach device?

Everyone can support whomever he/she wishes to support.

Even if that person is an abuser of women.

Some of you have chosen to blame the victims, which happens with victims of abuse all too often.

But again, he, by his own admission, put his hands on a female co-worker.

No amount of victories, championships or fluffy diatribes about how much "we love our fans" can make me support something or someone like that.

To each his own, I suppose.

Anyone can support anyone they want, but does your support include supporting his actions that have clearly been documented?  Supporting him as a coach and supporting his actions can be 2 separate things.

Seems to me the University had no other option but to fire him knowing what they discovered in the investigation.

There are witnesses to the allegations who are disputing what some people wanna believe.............Some statements by certain people who were there are coming out............And, their statements contradict what the UL administration has said............

If someone cares to find their statements, they're easy to find............[smile]

No. There isn't a single statement that says the dressdown of the the female staff member -- with all of its disgusting editorialization -- DIDN'T occur.

YOU produce the links to this supposed contradiction, or, for the love of God, drink from your vat and shut up

So, your lazy self is at it again, I see............

Maybe you should stick to the outfield fence and warning track issues - doesn't require links..........[wink]

Riiight. Just what we figured, from the most immense heretic and liar to soil this board.

How did we all KNOW you couldn't come up with a shred of proof.

Here's what you're missing.

In his press conference two hours after his firing, Mike admitted to putting his hands on the co-worker.

The video still exists if you want to check it for yourself.

That in itself, is checkmate.

Because he was talking? He’s nothing but a troll - it’s fun to mess with him.

.

So then why don’t you just post them, or the link, or a web address?.....hmmm.

The weight training coach’s written complaints with supporting witnesses statements and willingness of other uninvolved student athletes to provide corroborating statements is overwhelming to rational adults. Couple that with Mike’s own words.....

Former assistant coaches have issued statements in support of Lotief.  Probably what bluedog was referring to earlier about witnesses coming forward with statements condradicting what the administration has alleged.

When I see the grounds crew guy denying that that pathetic beration happened, then maybe there is a legit defense. As it is, there are multiple witnesses who signed testimony on the document from the incident in the weight room

Also interesting when people use terms like " I believe " and " To my knowledge " which frankly translates to : I wasn't there so I don't know.

Assistant coach Malveaux was in the weight room when that incident occurred.  According to the complaint, he stood around like a Hollywood "yes man."  His blanket statement that he believes the allegations to be completely false ring a bit hollow to me.  And far too general.  Would love to see him questioned under oath about specifics.

A few thoughts that come to mind in this sad situation:

People can change over time ( for the better or worse). Be careful with your lifetime endorsements.

Just because a person treats you with respect and dignity doesn’t mean they treat everyone that way.

If you weren’t there, you are not adding facts, you are only speculating based on your own personal experience from the past.

Good people can make mistakes and poor decisions that they genuinely regret.

Sometimes you don’t get a “do over” for a poor decision, you have to suffer the consequences.

It is extremely common in business, politics, as well as sports to terminate supporting (senior) staff when leadership is terminated. Regardless of cause, it can create extremely awkward working conditions (for employees and new leadership if you don’t start with a completely clean slate.

No one is infallible, we all make mistakes....some much bigger than others.

This is a tough one for a couple of you.....be willing to open your mind to the rational opinions / conclusions of others.

Now, as I step down from the pulpit, turn to page 33 of your hymnals and pass the Kool-Aid.

Chin,
Obviously don't say that to Blue. In his world, verbal bashing , name calling and bullying are acceptable. Probably thinks you should just " toughen up ".
Avoid responsibility at all cost, blame or pretend it didn't happen. Also probably thinks a woman can't physically abuse a man.

Having already admitted that “I cannot control my anger...”, he knows he has a big problem. He’s likely going to have to concede that he said many of the things attributed to him, but claim they were justified. But any employer would recognize that they can’t tolerate the behavior itself, especially if triggered by anger. That has led to some pretty dark episodes in the past. If you can’t control yourself, you won’t last long anywhere. And Lotief gave ULL all the evidence it needed to justify termination, just in the weight room incident. Anger indeed.

Scared?  Probably not.  Humiliated.  Insulted.  Offended.  Disrespected.  Intimidated.  Bullied......................................................................................................
