if we go 4-1, I’d be thouroughly surprised, but in a good way for sure. I hate to say it but I’m thinking 2-3 or 3-2 either one

I think 3 definite wins over SDSU, Oregon St, and BYU. Maybe Utah. You’re not beating oregon. Lol.

I don’t think BYU has anything in the circle losing Bull.

Defense was pretty rough last year and it would appear that the team isn't poised for it to be much better this year based on recent departures. I do think that pitching will be much improved this year and that Gray has a chance to be a dominant ace, with one of the rookies hopefully stepping up and being a solid #2 or #3. Bass has shown some real grit and can be unhittable at times in big games when opponents aren't patient. Nonetheless, infield defense is a HUGE question mark...

Offense is also going to be suspect until proven otherwise. The team struggled to score in big time games last year, and with two potential starting bats out of the lineup and the graduation of the older Emanuel sister, things could be frustrating at times. That being said, I think Milz, Febrey, and Bryan are all poised to have big years, and depending on how big of years they have, the offense could be just fine.

Overall, my expectations are low, but I could see this team surprising some people if things click early on.

I'll be at Kajikawa this weekend with a pitching student of mine if anyone is around for a good softball chat! I'll be there for all four days of action.

Gray gets the start against SDSU. I thought for sure they would save her for Oregon. We will see! Go Dawgs!

I thought Flosoftball would have announcers doing the games.  It seems like they did last year.  I can't even tell who is playing where.

Nice first at-bat for Kay. Harding and even her first RBI.

Not sure Formby’s shin feels the same, though.

is it worth paying Flo softball to watch the games? I usually follow the gametracker but it's not working

I am watching on Flosoftball, but there are no announcers and the GA stats link is not showing anything.  I am working so I need play by play!  Boo Flo!

O’Neal with a 2 run shot to make it 12-0. Still bottom of first. Jesus. Lol!

Nine hits in the first, one each for the GA line-up.

If I wasn’t all-Dawg that would’ve been hard to watch.

You're keeping score much better than the Flo scorekeeper . Of course , they can't even figure out that the home team bats second . But then , they did that on half of the travel ball games I tried to watch last year (lol) . At any rate , I think it's safe for Georgia to change pitchers if they wish .

All day. I would put Ablan in after the third, and let Gray/Mathis be ready to go tonight

...That’s not how you run bases, SDSU. Two interference calls in one inning.

Aaand Cortni joins the home-run parade, a three-run jack at that.

Wow.

15-0

Doesn’t the game go final if it’s 15-0 after 3?

8 after 5. I don’t think there is another rule, unless I just didn’t know
