What’s the outlook for the team next year? Pitching was lacking, but still got us to OKC. We should be better next year. I am hoping Landrum can step into Emmanuel’s spot. Anyone know anything about the other two signees, Sikes and Fincher? Will the defense improve? Thoughts?

I think the offense will still be strong and dominant, will come down to how the pitching does.

The incoming freshmen are talented

Fico has her work cut out for her but there is still a pretty high ceiling down in Athens

historically, offense has never been Georgia's weakness, and I don't believe it will become the weakness in 2019 with much of the power hitting returning. that is, unless something crazy happens, like dicarlo and milz transfer out or whatever. with that being said, what has year in year out kept Georgia from being great is finding consistency in the circle, and relying on more than one ace pitcher. they've had some pretty good aces over the years. bottom line is fico has her work cut out for her, and id really like to see someone emerge as a dominant strikeout pitcher who throws a great rise under the hands of batters. ablan needs to really show up and prove what all the talk was on her coming out of high school. I believe mathis can and will have a much better year next season. bass will be bass. avant needs to work more up in zone or really work on a stellar drop. working east-west just isn't very effective nowadays, and I don't know if it ever has. if uga can somehow pick up the slack and have good pitching, look for them in OKC next season.

Wasn't there speculation Mathis would transfer?

My original source told me they were nearly positive that both Ablan and Mathis would transfer, but after chatting again with this person a few days ago, it sounds like both Mathis and Ablan had good exit interviews. If I'm being fed the truth, it sounds as if both will stay.

I think next year's offense will be just as good as this years and I expect Fincher, Landrum, and Sikes to all have the chance to start. Still wondering if we will get any big time transfers in the field or in the circle.

Yeah it seems like Ablan and Avant are really close. I hope Ablan can turn the corner. Keep us updated on the transfers!

Anyone know anything about our 19 class? Fields, Kuma, Berg, ? It seems our recruiting will pick up starting with the 2020 class.

well fields is a long time commit and is also the sister of uga qb Justin fields. berg, along with Shelby maier, are two pitchers in this class committed to uga. that's about all I know. and so youre saying our recruiting is better for the 2020 class and so on?

I was rooting for Georgia....but the pitching only got to OKC because Tennessee was your match up.

Hoping Georgia can get something happening in the circle and make a run

Kuma is the 2019 I'm most looking forward to seeing. I know she she pitches for her HS, but it's the bat I think Georgia fans are gonna be most excited to see if I'm hearing correctly.

Thanks, I trust Lu to get the most out of the 2019 class even with no top 100 recruits. Berg and Kuma are both really good

No 2019 Top 100 which is absurd!!!! The list before this yr was.

80 Sara Mosley
76 Lexi Berg
61 Shelby Maier
45 Jaiden Fields (she can hit the ball)
This isn’t including Sydney Kuma who is a baller.
