They have moved the game to 11:30 AM.  Where can it be watched?  The gophers website says that there is no TV but it can be watched on-line.

Minnesota not looking great in the 1st inning, 1BB, 2 Ks swinging at balls, 1 K looking at a clear strike...

Wow, just wow. I love that first inning from Osorio. Struck out the side vs Minnie, something that doesn't happen to them often in Big Ten play. And she did it despite a couple horrible calls on the outside corner.

Wow! What a GREAT job by Osorio in the first inning! The Big10 player of the year looked just a bit over anxious on that swing for strike three (on Osorio's rise). Great pitch by Osorio, though. Can't believe the number three hitter for Minnesota just stood there on that strike three pitch.

I am really looking forward to this game (although it should have come much later in the tournament).

This strike zone is very hitter-friendly.

Bama - After watching that first inning, it appears that the plate ump is calling the inside pitch (on leftys) more so than the outside pitch. Will be interesting to see if that holds for the whole game.

Ump missed that call. That pitch did hit her.

Minnesota's hitters look lost at the plate vs. Osorio through the first two innings.

I don't think they have ever faced a pitcher like osorio.

Pitchers' duel. Hitters' flapfest.

Bama's hitting is questionable, but so is Minny's (with only four Top 25 RPI opponents).

That catch on Elissa Brown's ball saved an inside-the-park HR

Yes - I have my own super high speed camera... which (when replayed at super slow motion) clearly showed the pitch deflect off the batters elbow.

Yes, we are aware Washington went 2-0 vs both these teams. Washington's hitters had 1 run on 3 hits thru 6 innings and finally got a 2 run dinger in the 7th on a fly ball to right that the famous Rhoads House wind carried out of the park.

Not minimizing it just pre-emptively saying very few teams hitters look good vs Osorio, including Washington's

Wow! Osorio is making those hitters look silly - taking those third strike pitches (which look pretty much right over the plate).

How many Minnesota batters are going to take third strikes in this game!!!

Holy cow! I'd be telling my players to get the bleepity bleeep bat off your shoulders.

The next batter who gets called out on stirkes is walking home.

They clearly have been coached that Osorio will throw the rise ball out of the zone with 2 strikes, so take it. Well, except when she sees your strategy is to take it then she throws a pitch in the zone to strike you out. I loved the girl who took off running to the dugout on the 3rd strike down the middle as fast as you would take off toward 1st base on a walk. [smile]

Another GREAT pitch by Osorio... and the Big10 player of the year takes strike three called.

Swing the bat, ladies.

Did I even mention Washington? Say anything negative about Osario? No and no.

Right now, both teams' hitters looking like cardboard dummies.
