Hastert was well known for picking interns that like to have sex with him.  Sasse was Hasterts bestest intern.  Not hard to do that math.

I did not know that - not sure I wanted to know that.

Thought you were making a point on the bill he introduced.

Should have known better.

Just trying to keep from making any big mistakes.  Before you run out and get that Sasse jersey.

The mistake was thinking you wanted to have a substantive discussion on splitting the relief and debt ceiling.

Huge mistake. Fresh definitely makes some salient points.

What are Fresh's salient points?  Abortion is not murder cause it is legal?

Concerning you and your posting.

Very little substance.

So you think I should have just let you run out and buy Sasse's jersey?

Did you forget Sasse was hand picked and groomed into position by Hastert?  Hastert who was later found to be very sexually active with young men.  And especially with his interns to a point where most believe to move ahead in Hasterts organization you had to be one of the willing and capable sex partners.

Or are you pointing out that even Fresh is aware of these 'facts' as they were heavily reported by both CNN and NYtime.

It really makes no difference to me, and it had no point in what I was discussing (since you would rather discuss people getting molested).

It that's all you have to offer, just don't post.

It appears that Sasse was not one of the molested ones.  Those guys all came out and joined lawsuits.

In fact, it appears that a number of the pages that reported to Sasse were indeed molested.  One might conclude that Sasse was such a good underling to Hastert that he might have been involved in recruiting and offering Hastert molestation targets.

Anyway, I know these are uncomfortable facts.  They are confirmed and reported by CNN.  So Freshy is doing to like them just fine.

When Sasse talks crap about Trump, I am going to take that as a good thing.  You are free to do otherwise.

You are saying Sasse offered boys to Dennis Hastert?  That's a pretty awful thing to accuse someone of that dares speak out against the President.  I'm sure the Senator would like to know about that - maybe someone will tweet him this link.

You are kind of turning into Bama_CF.

I hope they do as well.  CNN said the same thing back in August.  As did NYT.  Hasterts dirtiness is all over Sasse.  Sasse is probably aware of it.  Trying hard to be a nevertrump darling, cause his past otherwise definitely limits him.

He seems to be doing ok right now.  Your hatred of him makes what he is doing in the senate probably the right thing.

Funny to see you quote CNN and the "failing" NYT.

Sasse will go nowhere.  He is failing as failing gets.  Should never have helped Hastert gain access to those page boys.

He's already in the Senate - doing better than 99.9 percent of politicians.

Quick google search and wasn't able to find anything from CNN or the NTY, but did find a few articles on patdollard.com and a website called dangerandplay.com?

Not sure why you would be looking there, but go ahead.

Hastert was in the Senate as well.  Sasse tainted background will keep him from being anything more than a niche player.  His current niche is nevertrumpism.  You can have him.

Let him be your spokesboy.  Better than McMuffin, who is a blatant propped Dem shill.

You would ultimately be better served to watch Lee and Cruz. When they actually come out openly against Trump, things will start rolling your way.  These half ass'ed side shows are not going to do much.

Really?  I would have thought "Speaker of the House" would have been a dead giveaway.

Unlike you, I don't need a "spokesboy" to know good legislation when I see it.  Should have followed the House and held a vote on a clean bill.

Unlike you, i knew that Hurricane relief would be used to pass other more difficult legislation.

Really? After the Hastert thing I thought you would at least wait a day or two to claim intelligence on anything.

Well, for a guy that portrays himself to the smartest guy here when it comes to politics and policy, that is a complete air ball.  Please, almighty one, tell us "how it works"?

Sasse isn't myguy, just liked his legislation.  Did you ever find the CNN and NYT articles?

UWA using CNN and NY Times shows you he doesn't have to respect the source if it makes his point. Check with B-25 and compare notes on the word "hypocrite".

Your first sentence was good.

Second was nonsense as usual.

Leave the personal insults out and more people will engage with you.

Calling out B25 will get you nowhere around here.

I did find these:
More specifically, he’s got experience in Congress. Sasse served as chief of staff to Rep. Jeff Fortenberry (R-Neb.) for six months in 2005, right after Fortenberry took office. From 1996 to 1998, he worked as a tutor for the House page program.

The Page program was known to have sexual abuse issues for a long time:

CNN:

Here are the timeframes for Hasterts misconduct with

Here is how the Page program came to an end:
http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2015/11/the-page-who-took-down-the-gop-mark-foley-dennis-hastert-213378

One of the members of the House Page Board while Sasse served as a tutor and proctor was Republican Representative Jim Kolbe of Arizona. In 1996, while Sasse was a proctor and tutor for the pages, Kolbe, a member of the oversight House Page Board, took two 17-year old male pages on a three-day Independence Day camping trip to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Kolbe revealed that he was aware of then-Republican Representative Mark Foley's inappropriate e-mails to underage male pages as early as 2000. However, Foley's indiscretions with the pages reportedly began as early as 1998, while Sasse was still a proctor/tutor. Foley, a Florida Republican, later resigned after it was publicly revealed that he had made sexual advances toward male pages, including attempts to coax them from their dormitory on Capitol Hill. One of the members of the House leadership who helped cover up for Foley as long as he possibly could, was the Republican Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert. It was later revealed that Hastert paid hush money to underage males he was accused of having sex with while he was a high school wrestling coach in Illinois. Hastert is now serving a prison term for hiding his hush money transactions.
https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2017/03/21/meet-neocons-newest-american-hero-ben-sasse.html

In other words.  Hastert was a bad dude.  He was a known pedophile.  He paid hush money to boys that he abused.  He obtained the hush money from laundering money.  Sasse was Hasterts guy.  Sasse also has a close relationship with Foley.  This was during the time that Foley was having sex with underage pages.   Sasse was in charge of the pages program ans allowed those boys to go with Foley camping in Colorado, already knowing that Foley was intending to do with those boys.

Hastert pays hush money to hush sexual abuse.

So nothing from CNN or the NYT, or any other reputable source, saying Sasse directly provided Hastert with interns to abuse.

It's pretty disgusting that you would say that about someone just because they don't agree with President Trump.

Pretty impressive guy.  He's no UWA, but impressive:

2. Sasse has a PhD. He wrestled at Harvard, quarterbacked the Oxford football team (real football, we’re told, not soccer). In total, he has five academic degrees: A bachelor’s from Harvard, a Master’s from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Md., two Master’s degrees from Yale and a Ph.D.
