An honest, straight forward question:

If Trump came out tomorrow and said "I made many promises when trying to get elected. Some I was sincere about, some I didn't care about one way or the other, and some I flat-out lied about, believing that saying it would help me get elected. I said those things for three reasons; 1-to do my best to keep clinton out of the WH;  2-to ensure that I could pick Gorsuch for SC and ensure (to the best of my ability) a 30 year stalwart conservative, and 3-to be in position if another SC seat opens up to appoint another Gorsuch-type figure."

If Trump announced that, would you want him as your president, or would you want him gone?

(I tried my best to phrase this so that it would minimize the inevitable sideways tangent from a few of you)

I knew Trump was an idiot and a poor candidate but I was willing to take the bad to get the good.'
1. No Hillary
2. SCOTOUS appointments.

Never paid any head to his campaigning rhetoric

The market is down 400 points, rapidly giving back all the gains. Trump is a disaster in every respect for the right.

The only positive for the right is you successfully stole a Supreme Court seat. But now Anthony Kennedy has decided he can never retire while this crazy loon would appoint his replacement. And as long as we can keep Ginsburg alive and roll her up to the court, you all will NEVER gain a true majority.

Any other hopes for the right are dead in the water. No wall, no Obamacare repeal, no tax reform, no entitlement cuts. Nothing. Get ready for immigration reform with amnesty 4 years from now.  Yay!

The markets are way, way, too high..........It don't make sense how high they are..........Having your money in there is flirting with disaster, IMO...........

Our politicians can't even agree on the best way to ambush Trump.............How you figure they'll come to a logical conclusion as to how to govern our country?

I'm reminded of my Marine Corps boot camp days.........Your left, your right, your left right left, hy-daleft..........

Exactamundo! No Socialists added to the Scotus was one of my primary reasons for voting against Hillary. That and the possibility of shutting down illegal immigration and deportation of thugs and illegal construction workers. I voted for Trump because there was no other option available. Well, I voted for Cruz in the primary. Did the Democrats have a presidential primary? You wouldn't have thought so.

Great. So you are safe from Hillary being president now. So hold Trump accountable for his failures. Haven't seen you doing it yet. There's still time.

I think the very reason for Trump winning was Hillary. If the GOP was serious about winning the presidency, then they wouldn't have given McCain, and the Mormon their establishment support. Trumps election was a vote against establishment politicians on both sides of the aisle. The Bernie clan was the same. The only difference was is the conservatives beat down the establishment, the Socialists did not. What don't you understand about my thought process? You are just in the trench on the wrong side of a lost battle.

Heheh, no I'm very glad he's there. The rayycists in this country were creating an ill feeling in my being. I'm glad he is POTUS to protect me from rayycist like KPI and white guilt crowd like BAMA CF and his mixed race, GF.

I sleep better at night now that Obama is gone and hilLIARy will die before she ever runs again

I don't know about Hillary. She is laying low, soaking in pickle brine.

Word on the street is, most low info Dems think she will somehow be vaulted into the oval office if Trump is impeached, or resigns.

Yes, they are that low info, and have no clue as to the succession of power involved.

Really, it's like a bunch of teenage girls conversing by text message. They are really that ignorant of common knowledge.

And yet, they can vote, or be driven to a polling place by the bus load by their elitist plantation masters.

Does he also say that I swear:
- not to falsely accuse prior POTUS of espionage
- not leak classified info in a game of my Johnson is bigger than yours
- not tweet stupid ridiculous stuff at all hours
- biatch incessantly about the men and women trying to protect this nation from the very terrorists that he claims to despise

In short, not act like a complete idiot amateur all the time?

Lying during the campaign is an issue between him and those who voted for him.

Nope, the parameter of my premise allows trump to continue unfettered insane behaviors, but nothing worse than what the clinton cash machine cronyism and incompetence would have also ensured.

To address the title of this thread. The cost of Trump is very high indeed.

Define falsley.  Turns out Odummer's team did use NSA and FBI assets to gather intelligence on Trump and his team.  http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/the-administration/325648-trump-was-right-after-all-on-the-obama-wiretapping  Unless I am misunderstanding your use of 'falsley'.  Oh, and there is the deliberate unmasking of Trump and his associates.  Very illegal stuff.
- not leak classified info in a game of my Johnson is bigger than yours
Save Russian citizens from direct terrorst attacks.  Cast as negative all you want.  It has been happening for some time.  They share with us, we share with them.  Isreal has already said they are fine with.  In fact they have said they are enjoying the improved relationship with the new administration.
- not tweet stupid ridiculous stuff at all hours
Also not be blindly boxed in by MSM stupidity.
- biatch incessantly about the men and women trying to protect this nation from the very terrorists that he claims to despise
The obama installed shadow network left in the CIA and NSA are horrible nasty ideologues.   They routinely break laws to serve their own needs.  You defending them is rich at best.  Too bad you are so used to the normal rednozed drunken capitulators that are the eGOP that you cannot recognize that true leadership would stand up to such nastiness.
In short, not act like a complete idiot amateur all the time?

He is doing just fine for me.  Not a typical loser republican.  Going quite well. MSM in a lather.  eGOP out of their gourd.  Communists fully exposed.  Obummer care past the house.  Almost all the dopey EO regulations from odummer undone.   Unemployment lowest it has been in years.  Real Unemployment actually getting taken on.

Now we're getting somewhere.  How about we add:

Mitch McConnell
Kevin McCarthy
John McCain
Chuck Schumer
Maxine Waters
Dick Durbin
Barney Frank
Christopher Dodd
Karl Rove
Sean Hannity
Ed Schulz
Chris Matthews

And many more.
