Trump picks up a big endorsement:

Boehner likes Trump, savages Cruz

Becoming more and more establishment all the time...

Trump is becoming the establishment candidate if Boehner is endorsing him.  Nothing will change in a Trump administration.

Well, Pabar, according to you, Trump had no chance to win the nomination.......[smile]

You're welcome to make predictions, but, excuse me if I overlook them!

I think a lot will change:

- further erosion of the Constitution via the Executive Branch power grab
- attempts to broaden abortion funding and access
- isolationism, beyond what Obama has done
- inflation as a result of trade wars
- further economic turmoil
- further distrust from our allies, as we become "unpredictable"
- liberal SCOTUS appointments
- social upheaval under one of the most liberal, incoherent, and inconsistent administrations in memory
- expansion of Obamacare towards single payer

Worse than Obama.

I was wrong about Trump and I'm not afraid to admit it.  I'll keep making predictions and you'll keep posting your drive-bys.

Yep - too busy trying to be cute and condescending.  He's learned well from the liberal.  I won't use the name anymore.

I'll continue of course.

When a person authors at least 15 threads about themselves then it's a true sign of an obummer type narcissist. Not one other person has authored even one thread about themselves. Hmmmmm Narcissists thrive when others are talking about them. Dewy loves it, if he was ignored he wouldn't post so often. He gets his ego fed from defending the indefensible and being a contrarian.

John Boehner, GOP establishment if ever, has come out for Trump, against Cruz, and praised Obama.

As Yogi said, "It's like déjà vu all over again." Dole picked Trump over Cruz 3 months ago in part because Trump is a deal-maker.

Mike, I'm as disheartened as you about Trump's conquering of the Republican party.....

I didn't really want Trump to hijack the party........I wanted a third party to form........

The Republican party has been irrelevant for a while, now.......Trump is rejuvenating the party by turning out voters who had stopped voting altogether........And, by getting the crossover vote from some Dems......

I believe my hope for a third party is gone.......Oh well!

Quote:

Democratic strategist Dave “Mudcat” Saunders believes Donald Trump will beat Hillary Clinton like a “baby seal,” and that working class whites who haven’t already left the Democratic Party for cultural reasons will due so now for economic ones.

“I know a ton of Democrats — male, female, black and white — here [in southern Virginia] who are going to vote for Trump. It’s all because of economic reasons. It’s because of his populist message,” Mudcat told The Daily Caller Wednesday.

I wouldn't say it's irrelevant on a local and congressional level. The GOP has record majorities in the house and of state houses and governors mansions. Our general election candidates have just been horrible the last two cycles.

The Tea Party is finished.......The stand your ground until you're elected group has been exposed......They caved-in and are on their way out.......

There's a new round of elections coming up......A third party has a niche right now....But, since that isn't gonna happen, the Republicans are gonna have to come up with some people who fit into the new Trump atmosphere......

I'm curious.  Who would have been the "good" GOP candidate in 2008, 20012, and/or 2016?  I'm beginning to think those who decry past candidates could never agree on the "good" one.

I don't remember who exactly was in the thick of it back in 08 and 12 but my candidate this time was Rubio.  I thought he was conservative enough and very electable vs. Hillary.  His problem was he didn't project personal strength which is important.  In other words, he wasn't the narcissist you need to be and which both Trump and Obama have mastered.

You are truly in some sort of delusional dream land.

I am beginning to think that you are the Christian version of those fatalist caliphate muslims - worshiping trump like you, because as POTUS he is certain to hasten the arrival of end times.

pabar - If Rubio had won the nomination but lost the election, in 2017 some UCS member would be posting how the GOP has had bad candidates the past three cycles.  I bet some here liked McCain and Romney.

I was wondering recently about the lack of reports about conflicts at Trump events. In case you haven't heard, "protesters" rioted last night outside Trump's event here in OC. They threw rocks at cars, attacked Trump supporters - bloodied at least one, spray painted epithets on signs and damaged police cars. It makes me wonder what is happening at other events and being swept under the rug by the liberal-biased MSM.

No comment on the deplorable actions by the anti-Trump goons, hooligans and thugs last night? Video would be running non-stop if an anti-Trump protester was bloodied and carted off in ambulance like the guy last night.
