Also, most of these kids in school are actually, and unfortunately , legal. They wer born here as anchor babies and then once here the illegal mommas spit another one out each year. They are all US citizens and get tons of freebies since their families are broke, living multiple families in an apartment, working for cash.

Dewey, I usually try to give your thoughts some consideration, but when your smarmy, slimy side permeates your post, you become very unattractive.
Your many references to 'the readers' never fails to amuse me. Everyone who follow this site knows the political persuasions of all of the regular posters. Your belief that there is a yearly flood of freshman parents waiting for you to enlighten them is wishful thinking.
Do you really think that any moderately politically savvy person in this country needs to be told that illegals can be ID'd and deported? You think that's a big mystery?
So, tell me. Who here has stated that it is 'impossible to identify and deport (illegal) students?

I remember a strange Sci-Fi book I read in the 80's-90's that was very similar. The deal was that Russia and the US had entered into Nuclear war with one another. The US and Russia were hit hard, but somehow some areas were untouched. It turned out that California's crop growing areas were spared, and everyone west of the Mississippi were trying to enter that area illegally. People that were caught were "tagged", and sent back into the apocalyptic wasteland while all the Cali residents had plenty of food to eat. If an outsider was caught trying to enter illegally a second time, they were executed immediately. Weird thing was that Corporate Giants from Japan which were not bombed sent in teams of decontamination specialists with dustbusters to pick up the fallout. That came at a price of course, when Japanese firms were given control of croplands and their harvest.

Early - I don't know how much you read here but it's been said on multiple occasions, (by PDad), that I'm fear-mongering and being dishonest by telling readers that a GOP Administration is very likely to focus their efforts on prohibiting undocumented students from continuing their education, (school and colleges), and ultimately deporting them.  (Listening to Cruz and Trump convinces me this is going to happen).  I feel it's completely fair for me to warn voters that electing a Cruz or Trump will lead to just such result as you agreed is possible, if not likely.  Unfortunately, you're the only one to date to confirm such can and may happen and my thanks for saying as much was sincere.  Many here wouldn't confirm that my prediction had any validity until you did in your post.  Didn't intend to be smarmy but I was grateful for such confirmation finally being written for all to see.

PS:  Between registered and unregistered, I have no idea how many readers we have here.  I think Tyler and PDad said they read for some time before they joined the forum.

Edit:  I hear a Cruz and Trump say all undocumented must go, I tell voters/readers if you elect one of these guys you can expect the undocumented students in our colleges and schools to be identified and deported, and I'm called dishonest and a fear-mongerer.  I hope you can understand if my tone doesn't always come off as well as it should.  That said, you've been fair to me and I'll accept your criticism and work harder to consistently respond appropriately.

No Dewey, you are very correct. If Trump, or maybe even Cruz is elected, all your illegal alien friends in primary schools, and colleges could, and should be deported to go back to their home countries, and bask in the educational, and economic glory of their own countries.

And what is your objection to enforcing our nation's immigration laws? Is that somehow wrong?

woody - I don't have a problem with enforcing our immigration laws.  Unfortunately, we looked the other way for years and allowed businesses to hire the cheap labor they wanted.  In many instances one could say we invited these undocumented to come work.  Now that they've settled and are raising families, it makes no sense to deport them all.  In fact it will likely harm our economy.  I said it yesterday and I'll say it again today.  Penalize businesses severely for hiring undocumented workers and this problem goes away.  Of course, I'm talking about newcomers, not established undocumented families.  The Senate bill would have solved our problem in my opinion.

It makes no sense to deport them all? You mean it makes no sense deport illegal aliens that are violating our nations immigration laws? Just let it go? Just bend over and take it? Is that what you are saying? Ignore our immigration laws? Please explain why some people are allowed to violate laws without fear of consequences.

Pretty typical thread around here. It's supposed to be about Donald Trump - some of his supporters get beat up by Mexican protestors - some people start talking about immigration - and it immediately gets turned to schoolchildren.

Am I the only one that notices everytime the subject of immigration comes up, it quickly shifts to schoolchildren? Classic debate strategy. Similar to the left always bringing up rape and incest when abortion comes up. It is such a small number of insatances, but it allows them to control the conversation. Allow those on the left to keep asking about the schoolchildren, and focus instead on the drunk drivers, murderers and rapist that are here. They don't seem to want to talk about them.

woody - Place a financial penalty on the undocumented who violated our laws.  Many Americans violate traffic laws and are fined.  I'm OK with a penalty for violating the law.  I just don't see any good reason to deport, for example, the undocumented parents of three teenage children who are American citizens.

Exactly right. Dewey turns this one to school children, and his posts literally ooze with images of sad little doe eyed brown skinned babies being ripped from their mothers arms. Dems love the social drama of it all. My mental image is of the 2 bedroom apartment with 20 people in it, all working for cash, some heading out at night to burglarize and commit low level crimes, all carrying an obama phone and an EBT card, going through $4,000 in food stamps per month, no one paying taxes. In my mind, there is MUCH more of that than there is of illegal high school valedictorians.

Hahahaha!

Dewey threatens to *WARN* taxpayers that Republicans will use their tax dollars to help Americans in need, rather than support millions of illegal immigrants.

That's a *WARNING* all Americans should pay attention to.

Woody-

With a Trump in the WH I don't think we have to worry about Japanese or Chinese companies taking control of anything in America.

Clinton, OTOH, who gets to control things is all about watching big-money foreign donations to her "foundation."

Yes, deport the murderers and rapists.  It's odd, I think Tyler and I have the same position on the undocumented and yet he's still calling me out.  I guess I'm missing something.  Maybe he can share with us where he and I part ways on who must go and who can stay.  If you don't believe the family of four who have lived here for 20 years should be given legal status, then say so.  This is hard enough without having to debate those who agree with you.

No illegal alien should be allowed to remain in our country and violate our laws. None should remain. All should be deported.

We are not the dumping ground for the failed economic, social, and political policies of the entire world.

FTR, I've been consistent in pushing back against your assertions that a GOP president will target minors 1) in schools because of SCOTUS rulings and 2) on the streets because of the impracticality of any minor being able to show they're legal and the racial profiling wouldn't be tolerated (i.e. harass far more legals than catch illegals).

In addition to the topic hijack that Tyler pointed out, the readers noticed that Dewey muddled the discussion by incorporating all his other immigration positions.

PDad - You can tell the readers the undocumented, young or old, will be safe from deportation under a President Cruz or President Trump and I'll tell the readers the undocumented will be in the greatest jeopardy of their lives.  Certainly you don't want to share your perspective and not have an alternative perspective presented as well, do you?

The only activists here are those trying to convince all who read that Democrats are dangerous for America.  As long as that false information is spewed, I feel obligated to counter.  Label me activist if it makes you feel better.

Interesting to see what newspapers in other countries are saying about The Donald -

Problem solved says dewy, billions and billions later, it's just our future we're talking about. So flippant as always

Cruz outsmarts The Donald again -

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/05/01/trump-backers-furious-over-defeat-at-arizona-gop-convention.html

Bet Jan Brewer is so pi$$ed that she won't be able to be wined and dined by the Trumps at the convention.  She really needs a new car, too - if it goes to a contested convention.  Wonder if she will sue?  She'll surely wag her finger at The Donald next time she sees him.

PDad and Tyler - I believe you both disagree with this position of woody's and I'm wondering why I'm asked if undocumented immigrants should be allowed to violate our laws and you two escape similar scrutiny?  Why do you think that is?  Is it because some on the Right refuse to criticize their own?  That's what I'm thinking.
