pabar - You recently made a comment saying "you can't not like somebody if you don't know them".  Something like that but I can't find it now.

Then we agree somebody can hate a person, or the President, without knowing them.  Somebody corrected me the last time I said that so I started changing the way I described people's attitude towards me.  Here was my post referencing the change...

As I said before, and I did word it incorrectly the other day, as the objections and frustrations with President Obama have grown significantly over the years, the frustration with anyone who would support him has grown too.

Maybe it was somebody else.  Sorry.

Blue dogs post are just as annoying as yours, does that mean I that I am frustrated with who he supports? He was annoying long before Trump came along.

Bluedog isn't a team member of the UCS Conservatives.  He's eligible for insults.

He's a conservative that posts on UCS. I know it doesn't fit your narrative, but facts are facts. But keep swinging, swing for the fences.

Peter King on TV saying Trump lies whenever necessary. Not qualified to be POTUS. Wrap it, put it in the can, and save for another general election commercial.

That's probably true.  Bluedog is his only fan in this forum and we don't see much of Bluedog these days.  Trump's unwillingness to denounce the KKK when given the chance is pretty shameful, even for Bluedog.

This is the slandering that takes place on here........Pabar slandered two people with this post.......

The rub is, everyone knows it's slander..........But, it's done under the guise of conservatism........This is the kind of stuff the KKK, the Black Panthers, and other hate groups hide behind.........This is very telling about the poster who says this kind of stuff...........

Dewey,  [thumb]

There's no wonder the conservative movement, as we know it, is dead in the streets.......

The head guy of Nascar endorsed Trump yesterday........

We heard time and time again that Trump had a ceiling at 35%.........Several posters on here told us that over and over..........The latest polls have Trump at 49%..........So, what happened to that ceiling?

The funny thing is, if Cruz or Rubio drops out, Trump will go much higher........The consolidation of the Republican establishment vote is a fallacy that some on here have been promoting.........The truth is, it doesn't amount to much of nothing!

Without taking sides in the personal fight among UCS members, I will say the following. I figured the establishment GOP would go all in at some point, and they have. They fear Trump, and they fear Cruz. The GOP WILL NOT allow Trump or Cruz to be the nominee. The establishment GOP who gave us Dole, McCain, and Romney will stop at nothing, and I mean nothing. They are in a fight to the death not only for their political power, but more importantly, Trillions of taxpayer dollars that establishment GOP lobbyist obtain in contracts and tax breaks to the establishment GOP donor class. We're talking about real money, and the establishment GOP isn't going to allow some outsider to take that away from them at ANY cost.

One thing is for sure.......The "establishment actors" of the Republican party's day is over.........The sun has set on 'em........There's not enough "establishment" votes left to sustain 'em.......

Now, it's just a question of, as Woody implies, how far the establishment wants to take it......I do agree with Woody that the fight could get very brutal........The establishment has already lost with the voters.......

The tea party movement was a drop in the bucket compared to this revolution.......As a fact, these revolutionaries will stand and fight........This is real patriotism on display!

Must excite dewy to see Americans talk about standing on issues and not being drug along by your party's establishment. Lot's more ideas and substance in the Republican race than anything the libtards have to show for their campaign season. Ratings are high on republican side and interest is high, democrats=boring

If he considers that slander and doesn't think Trump slanders many people then that is another hypocrite. One of dewy's new found tasks is calling out hypocrisy why doesn't he call out Trump and bluedog?

Boohoo.

First, look at the tape.  Trump wouldn't denounce the KKK.  It's right there on the video.  He later blamed it on a bad earpiece.  Wow.

Second, your incessant put-downs of those of us who "don't get it" or are "clueless" is also telling.

You and Dewey need to go off and start a pity party thread.

This is where the Independents will prevail...........These American patriots are taking back this country........It's about the Independents, now........Neither party controls these people.......And, Trump is where their vote is going.......

Trump's campaign has gathered support from many such white, blue-collar Republicans, who don't want to slash the government as GOP tea party hard-liners do, but seek to get it working more for people who, as they see it, have earned it.

The same Republican establishment  people who slander about the David Duke stuff are against our Government programs which help people who need the help........Trump supporters want to help the American people........Establishment Republicans want to help politicians like McConnell and Ryan.......

You people act like you want to denounce David Duke, yet, you don't denounce George Bush and Dick Cheney.......

The truth is, Trump denounces all of them!

Dewey - do you think it's right for Bluedog to lump George Bush and Dick Cheney together with David Duke?

Interesting poll results from CNN.  Favorability/Unfavorability among Independents:

Rubio 40-35
Trump 34-62
Hillary 33-63
Cruz 31-47

Those of us who think you need Independents to win the election clearly can see that Rubio is the best chance to stop Hillary.

Then Rubio needs to get out of the cesspool that Trump created. He was funny for awhile but Rubio has a firm grasp of the issues. Where Trump, is bombastic, full of vitriol and hyperbole. (Oh wait, that's JG describing me)

I will respond even though you slandered me.

Blue, we welcome you to the fight against establishment conservatism.  Several of us have been saying for quite a long time that McConnell and Boehner were the death-knell of the Republican Party.  Had a majority in each chamber and did absolutely nothing with it (see Dewey, it is possible to disagree with those in your own party leadership).  I think the book is still out on Ryan, but it is not off to a great start.  Just because some of us do not think Trump is the person to right the ship doesn't mean we don't get it, it just means we don't think he is the person to do it.  Personally, I am backing the candidate I think can beat Hillary, because they are all flawed and are not perfect candidates.

I am sorry that we do not agree with you that Trump should be the standard bearer of the GOP, but it does not mean we don't understand or get it.
