In a post on Facebook, Sanders announced her intention to transfer and thanked several individuals in Lafayette, including, of note, new head coach Gerry Glasco. It was confirmed to JWOS that Glasco reversed the school administration's previous edict and will be granting a full release to Sanders to be able to play right away at her new school.

Respect for HCGC.

That's huge.  No way to replace that type of production.

The Ducks just got even more scary! Oklahoma level scary???? Sanders could be just what they need to push them over the edge.

This is a HUGE pickup for the Ducks! Looking even more forward to what they're going to bring to the table this season!

Well it looks like at least one young lady didn't agree with the dismissal of the previous coach.
Decision to leave says plenty. She definitely knows more than most.

What a sad day in Cajun Country when you’re trying to belittle a HS kid who has nothing to do with what their parent is doing. Now do they share the same views? I’m sure, but the allegations of bullying and belittlement from your former coach + what the fans are doing to the whistleblowers... Classic.

<< Maybe she just wants to be able to have a shot at OKC >> (3LT)

Losing Sanders has to be about the biggest loss that the new coach could have had happen. I'm sure he is very disappointed to have her go.

3LT - Who had been penciled in as the Ducks' shortstop before this happened? I'm sure that player is a bit unhappy about this new development.

I'm guessing you just might have a huge smile on your face - since hearing this news. She would be a big addition to any team.

Heck... she should have gone to Oklahoma.  They could use a little more offense out of the SS position.

I would have loved hearing everyone's thoughts - if that had happened...

It’s how they operate. They try to quiet the brave young women who came forward with bullying, intimidation and threats

Seriously, best of luck to Sanders. Interesting to see how her talents transfer from the Sunbelt to the Pac whatever it is now.

Nope just stating the truth. From the docs, not bullying anyone, nor have I threatened anyone

You stated she's brainwashed. Maybe her thoughts are different than yours. She's been a great representative of the university and as a young woman, and i would assume you'd give her the same respect you ask from others. JMO]

I was referring to campguys post. How they try to silence people who go against their agenda with threats such as “your daughter won’t be able to play d1 softball with that type of rhetoric”. I also won’t be silenced. Hey if you don’t want to read from a topic then DONT.

We get it. You hate Lotief because he moved Denham up to the No. 1 spot in the middle of the season.  But your incessant harping about Lotief is getting tiresome.  You got your wish and he is gone.  Time for you to move on instead of demeaning a wonderful young lady like D. J. Sanders who was nothing bit a good team mate to your daughter.

Good move to release her.

Has not been a good week in the press for him, he needed a win.

Asst. coaching hires didn't win the press conference, time will tell.

No way a mid major player steps in at Oregon and starts right away...Mid's can't play with Pac players!!

Kidding but will be interesting to see how her stats compare, ULL had a very below avg schedule for a top Mid Major last year.  I am sure her stats exp the HR's will be down but it will be fun to watch and see how they compare.

Sanders move to UO is big for sure.  I think they are the front runners to knock OU out.  IMO a questionable call last year changed the whole momentum of that pivotal game.  Just don't know if Oregon has the pitching to match Oklahoma?

Glasco will have to find a way to replace DJ plate production and who fits in at SS.
Has anyone else officially transferred out ?
I hear there is a transfer coming in from Lamar.
