Heard that Whitney Gillespie has left Jacksonville State. She was OVC Pitcher of the Year in 2016.

I think she already graduated. Wonder if she's transferring or just hanging it up.

Smith is from Minnesota so it's hard not to think that there is a real possibility that she will end up being a Gopher.  But at this point it is just speculation.

Texas State announced 3 transfers, 1 from a community college and 2 from the SEC - Mari Cranek (Alabama) and Hailey MacKay (Arkansas).

Sounds legit. The LSU message board has confirmed that Sydney Smith is indeed transferring, so Minnesota seems like the logical landing spot since she is from there. Her parents actually relocated to Louisiana to be able to watch her pitch. I guess they are all going home now.

I hate to see Mari Cranek leave Alabama, I assume it is just in search of more playing time and/or to be closer to home.

Parker Conrad interested in WA. I don't know if they are interested in her. They are hot on the Australian, Gabi Plain, coming in.

Lol....I thought the same thing.  The "hacks" she took against Florida said "I have checked out".

MacKay didn't get much playing time at Arkansas, either, but seemed to have some potential. Was probably a bit buried on the depth chart? Also closer to home for her, too. Wish her well in a pretty solid TX State program.

Alvelo, Manti, Schreyer, Cochran with Plain coming in this coming year. It would not surprise me if Madi Schreyer left. I know she is done with school and may be ready to move on. Hopefully Plain will have been seasoned from the International circuit and be a good contrast to Alvelo.

Interesting you went Schreyer. I'd have thought it'd be Manti. Schreyer seems to want to be there and her performances down the stretch were pretty solid.

I believe in the Tallahassee regional that they were commenting continuously about some lingering arm issues. It would make sense if she retired from the game, but I hate it for her. She was fun to watch.

Word going around Zoom is that the new Arizona transfer P will be Kamallani(?) Dung from Fresno State. She was named MWC Pitcher of the Year this past season.
