A player may transfer a second time without penalty of sitting out if she returns to her original school and be eligible right away. That is an exception to the transfer rule.

Granted she'd be 1 of 5 pitchers next year but man it's a loss

It was her number first! Just gave it up for a year.

Ha true story, but if D were still there I'd let ND keep it.

Didn't she redshirt this past season for medical reasons? Saw her in dugout during supers

Reunited with Ford and is bringing a solid bat. Looking like she'll own a spot in OF.

I get the idea of raiding all the kids you recruited, though it seems slimy to the extent we are seeing here... but, man, did ASU AD think the Sun Devils were going to become an MWC squad?

It remains to be seen if Ford can bring the Sun Devils back to the wcws, I don't think she can.  I think the Sun Devils are now a permanent average Pac 12 team and perhaps happy to be such after the last 4 years after Myers left.  Fresno State does/did not get the best kids by any means, they are/were an avg mid-major after their prominence in the 90's.

She only played 5ip last season due to a back injury but was such a good teammate throughout the year. She was at every single game and was definitely the loudest cheerleader for the team. It just makes me think that maybe she is retiring due to injury rather than transferring. She loved this team and loves Baylor.

Krystal Aubert from Washington to Sacramento State:

"We believe Krystal will make an impact right away both offensively and defensively," Perez said. "She can play many different positions, hit for power and is well known in the Sacramento area. I think fans will be excited to see her back home and playing in the Green and Gold. She will be a great addition in our quest to win a Big Sky Conference championship."

Identified as a "third baseman/utility player" in the announcement (she played RF at Washington), she played with the Sacramento All-Stars for two games against Team USA, starting at SS.

It'll be interesting to see how Green progresses under Sneed. She was a big product out of high school but was just okay (like most pitchers) at miss state.

Just out of curiosity, are DI transfers up or down? Is there any official data source for this information?

They sure seem to be on the rise, especially for big-time players. It seems like it used to be rare that the big schools would lose big players as often as they do now. I contribute part of it to early commits.

I posted this link a couple of weeks ago.  Nothing that tracks softball over time like a few other sports, but it has relative percentages of each sport from '15-16.
