I think TruDat posted the same 2 names earlier so its probably true. The coach will ignore this incident and probably name her captain again!

You are pathetic. You literally thrive on any morsel to feed your obsession. Seek professsional help.

I am just responding to what somebody else posted on here dude. I hate that all of this mess is going on with this program. I wish I could talk about this team being in the Super regionals. Don't be mad at me and the other people on here. Be mad at the coaches that allow this mess to go on with this program!

I'm actually concerned about the players (current and former) and what they are going through mentally, physically and emotionally. If I hear about some crazy stuff going on with this program (or any other program) I'm going to talk about it!

SEC makes sense, but why would ACC have an advantage over B1G?

The ACC is basically FSU and everybody else so I doubt that she wanted to join the ACC unless she was going to coach the Seminoles. Maybe she just wanted to coach in the South!

I think the new ESPN backed ACC network is going to help the league in softball dramatically. Also adding Clemson is going to raise the bar. Clemson should be ranked consistently very quickly.

Year 3. 2022 and prettycompetitive year 2. I think it’s easier to start fresh with a new program than to turn around a really bad roster already in campus. With their first two recruiting classes, jucos and transfers it won’t take long.

They have no history though. Are you really going to convince good players to come to a brand new program. I wonder why they waited so long to finally start a softball program!

Well, Duke proved it could be done this year with 1 very good transfer, couple transfers who contributed just enough, kids playing out of position, starting 6 true freshman most games & an all freshman pitching staff.

I like Clemson's chances of early success also.

Clemson invests in everything they do athletically. They have approved funding for state of the art facilities They will have no problem recruiting elite players from the whole southeast (as well as nationally) right away as they showed in their fall class.

I'm just shocked that a big university in the south waited so long to start a softball program. I hope they are successful!

Maybe Maryland should blow their team up and start up like Duke/Clemson.

This team has/had the talent to win. We just need the right coach to lead them, on and off the field!

Aarong3000, you are up close at the games. Is she really that bad? Do you hear things in person and see the craziness first hand?

I went to 2 games this past season so I really haven't seen anything to talk about. You would have to ask the parents and the players about this stuff. They are around her the most. I'm just like you TruDat, I hear the stuff on here, other message boards and through social media, etc!

Maryland has a history of winning during the earlier part of this decade. They've been to the NCAA tourney and stuff. Its just been this recent 4/5 years of craziness!

Trudat let me answer your questions this way. This is what just happened at the end of this season!!!

Cross – starting CF released transferring

Nordberg - starting 3rd base one of the leading hitters on the lead the team in doubles released transferring

Graves – most talented Picher hardest throwing  on the team. Wright told her during recruitment …Trust Me!! released transferring

Denhart – number one pitcher freshman one of the few bright spots this year released transferring

Throw in the other 9 players she ran off quit or whatever you’d like to call it. Not to mention a 3 year 40 – 113 win loss record.

This should answer everyone’s question, this coach is driving the program down the tubes. No other school would put up with this. There’s none driving the bus at Maryland right now. The only reason she is still there. Wright should do everyone a favor and resign.

Lets see if one of these scared a$$ reporters will ask her about all of these transfers when fall ball starts. Knowing their history, they won't!

Graves might be talented, but her total lack of control can't be blamed on the coach.  Hopefully she figures it out at her next destination.

I do know that a reporter for the Diamondback was working on a story delving into the numerous issues surrounding this coach and program. He spoke to many former players and parents who were more than happy to give him plenty of information and go public. I for one, was willing and did send emails, dates and specific incidents involving bullying, NCAA violations, intimidation, overuse, withholding food.....the list goes on and on. What he did tell me was that he was hearing the same stories from multiple people, corroborating information. He was also looking into former players at Idaho State, where issues of bullying were also alledged. But I can’t say for sure what came of that.
I was told last week that the Diamondback story was squashed after months of his investigation, because the editor wasn’t willing to go forward with what he said was a “he said, she said” type story.
My point being, this isn’t a case of people not willing to come forward. We have and will continue. By now, it’s not a secret that my daughter is a former player who survived 3 coaching changes in her time there. She completed her career all while being a target of JW and her circle of bullies. At one point it was so bad, that I begged her to walk away and take the deal (keep your scholarship and walk away from the team) she refused. She dug deep and finished with her head held high.
So, now it’s just a waiting game. JW isn’t long for UMD. Whether she stays another year or two, she will eventually leave, the program will be in shambles her legacy will be one of disgust and disgrace!
Tick tock JW!

Props to the Maryland fans for keeping the Terps relevant through the Super Regional round.

Some other schools need to step up.

I have no problem with folks commenting about a program they care about, whenever they want to, but I confess, this comment made me lol for real.

Wow Alwaysaterp, sorry to hear that your daughter had to go through all of that craziness. Happy to hear thar she survived an finished her senior year.

These reporters and terp websites and publications (testudo times, diamondback and left bench) all want to stay in good graces with this coach and athletic department and are scared to ruffle any feathers. The 8 players not only left the team, they stayed at the university and continued to take classes. Could you imagine 8 juniors and seniors leaving the women's lacrosse or basketball team, still being on campus taking classes and nobody talking or reporting about it. Hell no.

I hate to say this but these Maryland publications and websites are not going to report about this stuff until something tragic happens. People are going to have to tell their story to non Maryland affiliated media for it to get published (ESPN, etc.)!
