Don’t they have a blue pill if you are incumbent?

Someone else had White at $450K

Obviously, 505 makes more sense.

And, Coach Spencer at 130K. Good for her!

And Kerry Shaw at 120K straight from BFE.... he owes CMW a Christmas card in perpetuity

Just an inkling of success is more than they were getting for their $389.

Exactly -  it's not really $755.  They were already paying $389.

The additional investment is $366.

Is White worth it?  We will see but Del Conte thinks so, as I would guess most softball fans would.

You have a unique way of butchering the comprehension of and then expression of English. O.J.-styled slashing

Do you not know what BFE is? Just ask

This is the best thing to happen to the Big 12 in a long time. Outside of Bay and Ok with a little heartbeat from Ok State the conference has been terrible for many years. .

Agree that the Big 12, as a whole, has been underwhelming. But only seven Big 12 schools have softball programs, so percentage wise, the league typically has about as many good teams as any other Power 5 conference.

But I agree that White's hiring will impact the league in a great way.

Instant relevancy.  Look what Myers did for Auburn, a program no one had even heard of prior to 2014.

I believe that team 2019 is going to surprise a lot of people!! The team was very young last season and 7 of the 9 starters were first time starters and they finished in the top 20 in the country defensively. Fruit for thought!!

I think they may have had a lot of pretty good 2019s so I’m surprised he got rid of all of them.

Got a couple of kids like CC that probably is ok but White is evaluating all of them.De-committed the 2020 kid and she was supposed to be a top 10 kid.

How do you de-commit a HS junior prior to September 1?  Smoke signals?

Glad we have new rules to stop coaches from using backdoor channels to communicate on recruiting matters...

I’m just asking who the recruit is. I’m not saying people are making things up. I’d just like to follow our recruits.

As for the 2020, I don’t know why we are assuming it was White. It mentions specifically CC in the post. Just as likely she opened her commitment, especially if she knew being re-evaluated may change her options letter. Bette to open up and let other coaches know you’re available.

It says mutual decision, which suggests some sort of communication by the coach to someone involved with the player.  I don't know why CC would have anything to say about a player's commitment to a school she no longer coaches at.

In any event, one thing that's clear is that players/parents/TB coaches and reporters ought to be more careful with how they discuss and report on these types of things, given the new rule.

Yeah I guess I’m not familIar with the new rule.

I guess I thought verbals change/re-open frequently but I don’t know.

According to the new rules, Mike White is not allowed to talk to anyone regarding a 2020 athlete. He can't talk to her, her parents, her travel coach, her HS school - No One!!! He may have been able to make a blanket statement that he wasn't honoring any verbals made by CC, but he couldn't say he wanted one kid but not another.
