Whats really going on at A&M? Why all of the transfers? This has been a solid program for a long time.

Certain student athletes are very competitive and want to work harder and win more / go further in the post season than the coaches do. There seems to be a complacency with just winning most of the games and being an "aggie". I agree it has been solid but always seems to come up short in the post season. Know a few kids that played there of recent and they were more prepared for games in high school and club ball for games. Hope they get it fixed but believe it will take a coaching change ….and that's a tough one to swallow.  More pressure now as the horns should become the dominant team in Texas for sure

It’s time for a new coach. Every year she gets meaner. She has a whipping boy every year and you never know why or how you got on her bad side. It’s too bad they didn’t move her out before Glasco left. If Glasco had this team they would be a World Series contender again. And the team LOVED him! Instead, now they have a joke for a batting coach. She finally brought in a pitching coach that’s worth something and won’t pay for a top notch batting coach. Before that there was no pitching coach. Head coach decides how the coaches are paid and she won’t un-ass any money for pitching, batting or fielding. If she gets one that is worth a damn she isn’t paying for the other. That says she’s not interested in winning, just getting paid. A school with the money A&M has should have the best coaches money can buy. Why don’t they? I’m sure she’s on her way out the door. One can only hope. When you have an assistant head coach leave during the fall season and by the end of the next fall season the rest of the team exits, that’s a coaching problem. (All but 1 starter) I would think the coaching decisions made during last super regionals speaks volumes.

They are going to get smoked in the SEC this year and then she will have a retirement party like Connie Clark.

Time to focus attention on Aggies.  Losing games they should not lose.  I am a big fan of many of the Texas players who have gone there, but not a fan of the coach.  Two of our teammates ended up as targets of the coach.  Never played much in the four years even though when they played they were solid.  One had speed, one had power.  Coaches have a right to play their team, but don't lie to to the players.  Let them go and start at most D1 schools.  They would have played every game at all Big 12 schools except OU.  Time for some pressure on the top.

Its Evans fault she is in the predicament she is in, that falls on her.

Its gonna be a rough year for them unfortunately. Outside of McBride, there is a big drop off pitching wise.

B. Klingler is struggling a lot right now

couldnt have been said any better but some just bleed maroon and white. look for more defection after this spring. some still sitting there being AA cheerleaders and to be commended after their four years for what great team players they are. please remind me what the first base coach does besides collecting evo shields.

and to think she didn’t have enough confidence in McBride to finish off the gators in the bottom of the seventh inning last year of game three after Vidales put them up by a run with a bomb. or maybe bring in another pitcher that hadn’t pitched all series? there were three of them.

Most freshmen experience what Klingler is experiencing. She will be fine!! I agree with you about the pitching though!!

I heard of a couple of current kids that wanted to transfer but decided to ride it out this season as money availability was really low at select other programs.

I completely respect the players who bleed maroon and stick it out 4 years.  Our friends did and decided to fight for playing time. But the open transfer in softball and the transfer portal make this a different world.

She may transfer, but I don't think Texas would be on her list of choices.  I can think of 4 schools off the top of my head, based on relationships built on the JNT and previous relationships she had before she committed to Texas A&M.

I won't name the 4 schools on a forum, in a feeble attempt to protect the innocent.

Or, do they get told, “Hey I know you were a great Aggie teammate, but your work isn’t done! Go on the SEC Network and talk about how awesome our new stadium is and see if we can find some new Aggies! But you HAVE to do it every breath between EVERY. SINGLE. PITCH!”

Houston beats A&M 9-3.  With a few exceptions (Outon twins), A&M could have any player on the Houston roster and most of them did not have offers.  Congrats to the underdog, but this is the beginning of the end.  Connie last year.  Maybe the A&M coach this year.  If A&M does not make the tourney?  At least this weekend, the local tourney should prove much easier.  They should win them all but the SEC will be brutal this year.

I see A&M is back at home for a five game stat packer, I mean five game series. If they can even pull that off. Looks like they have LSU right around the corner?? Whoop!!

First, not one of you know what really goes on at A&M. You have hearsay as to what goes on, which is NOT fact, but you present it as such. My goal is to remind people reading these posts, that these opinions are simply that, opinions, which is not the truth. Some of you are just plain mean. What’s with her picture being posted? Is there some significance the rest of us don’t know? Personal vendettas? Why mock the Whoop! Is this how you want people to judge and condemn you and your loved ones?

the only significance I got from it was that her pic was posted under the question “what’s really going on at a&m?”

As long as I've followed Texas and Texas A&M sports, when one school hires a new head coach who makes an immediate impact and begins to win big and/or dominate in-state recruiting and the tide turns in the other direction (sooner rather than later), then the other school has no choice but to find a new coach to try turn the tide back in their favor:

Football:  Texas hires Mack Brown (won national title); A&M then has to fire RC Slocum

A&M hires Kevin Sumlin; Texas then fired Mack Brown

Volleyball:  Texas hired Jerritt Elliott (won national title); A&M then fired Laurie Corbelli

Men's & Women's Track & Field:  A&M hired Pat Henry (won several national titles); Texas fires Bev Kearney and Bubba Thornton

Softball:  Texas hired Mike White; A&M's move . . .
