Just noting that I called for a tax driven revolution a long time ago.

Sad that the french are brave enough to revolt over their taxes, and Americans have not taken up the idea yet.

Yea I was trying to educate myself on the frog's latest riots. As far as I can tell, gas went up the equivalent of 8 cents per gallon? What am I missing? Of course, their gas costs over $7 a gallon, which is much more realistic than the artificially low US prices. Still, doesn't seem riot-worthy. Is it really cuz they all think macron is a douche? Now, that's a riot I can get behind.

Macron is the ultimate global socialists.  His popularity is now under 20%.  The fuel tax was just the last straw.

They have recently raised all the taxes in France.  The gas tax is just the latest.  They are also tired of the never ending influx of immigration and a system that appears to allow immigrants to move in drop right on the social welfare rolls while having large numbers of kids.  When if you are middle class worker you can no longer afford to have kids as the taxes makes it all way too expensive.

They are also complaining that they have riot after riot.  As long as the riots are far leftists they are allowed to march the streets freely.  Teachers, Arabs, Africans all have marches and screw up the traffic endlessly, and the cops walk peacefully alongside the protestors.  This protest is from the right, and the country is going full on riot police state mode.

It all started as a fairly small 'march' on November 17th, and it took off like wildfire from there.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/23/macron-economic-reforms-stronger-than-trump-tax-cuts.html

"French President Emmanuel Macron, who this week makes the first state visit to Donald Trump's Washington, likes to flatter his American counterpart with their similarities as "mavericks."  But that diplomatic tactic cannot obscure the fundamental difference in their strategies for making France and the United States great again. Macron is an economic reformer. Trump is not.

Their approaches bear surface similarities beyond brash use of power. Both cut taxes on corporations and the wealthy.  But only Macron cut them as part of a balanced program to adapt his economy to 21st century global competition."

Tax riots.  France arrested 400 people and 130 injured.   31,000 protestors in Paris alone.  Talking about implementing martial law (a state of emergency).  Worse riots since 1968.

Socialists are rioting because their elected Socialist officials implemented Socialists policies they wanted, and then had to increase taxes to pay for those Socialist policies. Predictable cause and effect.

VERY predictable cause and effect. I wonder if there is any self-reflection by the socialist frogs that were so in favor of those policies, now that the ramifications have become impossible to ignore? And why can't our local socialist soy boys connect the frog dots to their own misguided socialist dreams?

They are painted in a corner and their reply will simply be muh impeachment and avoid this thread. Or duaine will tell us about the couple who will pay $100 more next year in taxes.

They dont know why they support socialism they just feel inclined to do so. They've come too far to turn back now.

It is a bit early to start to call for it, but it does seem the French are gearing up to topple Macrons government.

Firefighters are turning their backs to their government.  I like this site because it doesn't pass freshyturd's sensitive beta filters, meaning that he'll stay a mushroom in his little beta world.

Police are removing their helmets as a show of solidarity with the protestors.

US MSM fully ignoring the turn of events in France.  Never even a mention.  Sully Bush's service dog, wall to wall front page.  We are likely witnessing the fall of a major world government, and they are in "No no, socialism good mode"

How much 'revenue' [cue dewey's code word for burdensome taxation] is enough?

Dewey would never state it publicly.  Freshy probably not either.  But ole kaploo would.

The reality is true leftie truly believe the system has somehow been unfair to them.  As a result those who have accumulated wealth have done so through unfair practices.  Therefore, they should be able to have a vote, and if that vote passes, they should just go down to said 'rich' peoples homes and take all of their money to use for 'good' causes.

A picture of Police and Firefighters turning their back on Macron when he is trying to shake their hands.

Again surprising that there is zero mention of this from the Main Stream Media.  You would think the fall of Macron's government would be significant news.

Here is one.   French Police remove their helmets.  A clear sign of support for the Yellow Vests.   the Yellow Vests celebrate the show of support.

Don't worry.  You will not have to see the fall of another socialist government enacted by the workers of a country on CNN.   They skipped completely over Venezuela and the other South American countries that failed.

Macron could be put the guillotine and you would never know it, so stick to your CNN, it is much safer for everyone.

It does not fit their agenda.

This clearly demonstrates just how far left CNN and the MSM have gone.  Freshy and dewey are perfectly fine with just ignoring and hoping this goes away quietly.

This is a major government going through some very tumultuous convolution.  With the fireman and police turning their back on Macron's government, this could very well be a new revolution in France.
