I'd love to run into her on the street just to spit in that Old Bag's face.

Hey PGP, don't be so hard on the old leftist Gal. She is way hotter than Pelosi, and the botox injections haven't to date make her look like she has suffered a stroke. She just needs a to let loose of her pent up emotions and party down with the peasants who carry the pitchforks.

Obama's disastrous presidency has already produced Republican senators from Massachusetts, Wisconsin and Illinois; New Jersey's wonder-governor Chris Christie; and the largest House majority for Republicans since 1946.

We deserve more.

Makes sense to me....But, I'm not the political expert like some....

Regan gets all the credit even though he had a Democratic Congress. Bill Clinton tries to take credit although his success is because of the Republican congress. That's why you and Ann are viewed as geniuses. Your logic is lightyears ahead of us all

The Republicans have got to swell with pride knowing they can count these two amongst their loyal supporters.

I'm neither democrat or republican....Political parties are by their very nature, corrupt.....Just as religions are corrupt.....I don't support any cults....

Every now and then I like to post quotes from Ann Coulter 'cause she's a smart gal with some common sense.....

Won't happen, will it?  Again, selectivity, to fit your mantra, right?

I quote Ann Coulter and she gets ridiculed....

I quote Pelosi, Biden and Obama and I get ridiculed.....

The Democrats just put Pelosi back in charge after the people sent a message for them to dump her........And, Rangel thinks he's being treated unfairly......Back to normal for the dems, it seems....

Obama's chances of getting re-elected are evaporating....Looks like a one-term prez...

softballfanatic - My target is a link.  Thought some of the Conservatives on this site would enjoy knowing their favorite politician, for taking pot shots at, is returning.  It seems some of your fellow Republicans here find talking policy, as we've been doing recently, to be too boring and it's way more fun to ridicule, mock, and in some cases, threaten.  I suppose I get it.

bluedog - It is not natural for the "dems".  It is natural for Congress, no matter which Party is in control.  I am amazed that Nancy Pelosi was elected to lead the Democrats in Congress.  Just part of the "good ol boys - and girls club".

Mr. Bolton--Not that big a surprise. The Blue Dog democrats are the ones that lost. In other words, dems from a conservative enough district to be vulnerable so they had to be a moderate dem. Dems in "safe" dem districts are still in congress. So the remaining democratic caucus took a big leap to the left! They are adamant that the losses are not Ms. Pelosi's or their fault, but the fault of the President. They will not allow her to take the fall for the mid term losses! Not sure how that will fly with the public. Time will tell.

Dewey--Just different ways of communicating positions I suppose. Because I enjoy the policy debate, though I am not all that smart about it, I try to look past those types of comments and approaches, on both sides. I will admit, on occasion, to swerving into the sarcastic or use some descriptive adjectives. For this environment I do try to avoid it though.

Here's another yet example of what some swear is "Fair and Balanced".  PT Barnum knew what he was talking about.....

Obama's children's book Of Thee I Sing  was released recently as reported in a story by USA Today with a headline of " "Obama Shares Dreams for His Kids in Book About 13 Americans."  Fox ran the exact same story, but their headline reads,  "Obama Praises Indian Chief Who Killed U.S. General."

Check out the side by side comparison.
Fox News Turns Obama's Kid Book Into Anti-American War Epic

Is there any doubt that the Right is engaged in a strategy of a constant negitive barage of President Obama?

I guess we can stand this one along side, "He's a Muslim", "He's not American born", "He's endoctorinating our children",  "He uses teleprompters" (gasp!), "He want's to kill your Grandmother", etc

....and you wonder why you're not taken seriously.  Come on!

If you've lost your long time job, due to shenanigans on Wall Street and/or stupid politicians, and your unemployment benefits are about to run out, which Party are you favoring?  If you saw your 401K drop dramatically in the market, took your money out, only to see it rise again, you probably thought "what the he**?".  Which Party do you think might review this?  If you're about to see your insurance provider increase your rates significantly or, worse yet, drop you altogether, which Party feels your concern?  If you are a young soldier back from bravely serving your Country and preparing to start a new life, which Party has helped with a new GI bill?   If you think any of those folks just mentioned above represent people looking for a handout rather than a simple sense of fairness, which Party are you leaning towards?

2012 is still a ways away.

Does anyone know the basis for/logic behind the parties voting for leadership now, when many members will no longer be in office and those newly elected will not have been installed?

The Fox article took its information from, and gave credit to, the USA Today article.

The wording about Sitting Bull was the same in both.

Much ado about nothing.

JD - Why should it?  Aren't all of our "upper class" citizens getting wealthy despite the high unemployment rate, or maybe even because of it?  Outsourcing and downsizing do increase profits for wealthy entrepreneurs while increasing unemployment.  Isn't the purpose of capitalism to create profit?  Hasn't our economic system literally become our government?  What else could one expect?

Many people only read the title of an article.  Yes, the wording inside the article was the same, but the TITLES of the article were very, very different and convey significantly different messages.

It is NOT simply much ado about nothing.  It is biased journalism at its best, certainly not "fair and balanced".  Wake up!

Companies are forced to outsource in order to be competitive.  Taxation, Govt restrictions and interference, and Union wages make it impossible to compete and earn a profit.  They could decide against outsourcing and ultimately go out of business cause their operating costs are too high or they could raise prices which means they would not be competitive or items would be priced so high as to not be affordable and ultimately be forced out of business.  On the other hand, outsourcing keeps them profitable and in business, and the mfg jobs that are lost can shift to sales and marketing to sell the products that are mfg abroad.  I guess instead of downsizing, companies can maintain employees that they don't generate enough business to pay for, and ultimately fail, and then all of their employees would lose their jobs.  If our economic system was our government, it would certainly be more effective than what we are experiencing now.  Regarding downsizing and outsourcing, the answer is to vote Republican and install an administration whose legislation will assist the economy in it's recovery and jobs will be created so that Dewey doesn't have to worry about extending unemployment insurance.

Yeah, it does.  But aren't you supporting the extension of the Bush tax cuts to ALL?  The top 1% captured almost half the growth in income from 1992 to 2006, according to this article:

Rich get richer

Trickle down economics?  Yeah, right..........

We most definitely should NOT extend the tax cuts to the top 1% or 2%.  They can well afford to pay a little more tax & put $700 billion back into the budget.  But the possibility of that is looking dimmer & dimmer, as BO seems to be wavering, all in the name of compromise.  Heck, the Republicans aren't showing any sign of wanting to compromise - they won't even come to dinner!

The latest election wasn't about compromise....It was about sending a message to Congress and the White House, plain and simple......

The message?...Do an about face and do it now!

And, here are the Dems electing their same leader who the message was intended for.....That is arrogance....And, you want compromise with that?.....Won't happen....And, the truth is, it better not.....

Another truth is, President Obama will never be accepted by a large portion of the people in this Country.....Too many red flags with him....

I was shocked that the Dems elected him over Hillary.....

Hillary would never have let Pelosi get a leadership role.....Hillary is too politically savy to let that happen.....Hillary is laying pretty low right now and letting this play out.....And, she's loving it, too.....
