Jacksonville State is a dangerous team. I believe they are a bigger threat to FSU than Georgia is. Gillespie is nasty and when she is on, they can compete with the big dogs. She shut down AU in the first game of regionals and unlike this year, AU had a pretty scary lineup. FSU is a better team but could be tripped up if they take them lightly.

... wut? Jessica Warren/Alex Powers are great offensive players and after a HUGE ACC tourney, where they both homered, their confidence has to be up. Morgan and Shellnut are coming into their own and Klaveman is dangerous. FSU has PLENTY of offense. As Stewart saw last year against the Sooners, that drop ball at the belt she throws too much won't fool the offensive juggernauts in the FSU lineup.

Drop Curve, one thing I do know something about is this.............Michael Lotief has a pretty good history of putting together effective pitching plans..........

One more thing I know a little about is this..........Fla. St. has a much bigger problem to solve with their pitching plan than does UL...........

And, confidence is never a problem with UL's hitters..........

Perhaps you forget that Oklahoma won it all last year??

This isn't the ACC tourney anymore...........

Perhaps win the BR regional before worrying about the pitching plan for FSU, no?

I would love to hear an example of that. Funny guy

He gets all the credit for their sticks, but that meltdown in Auburn two years ago....Holy moley

How did I know you would say that?.......You are predictable..........

Calling pitches had nothing to do with it........But then, you already know that.........

Sad thing is that they are rarely called until a regional...makes it kind of hard to fix. Supposedly she worked on it a ton after the txst series and got it under control

For the sake of a remotely even playing field, hopefully that continues, starting this weekend, across the country

Also called when kicking the crap out of aTm in College Station.

This box says Stewart had only 2 balks.... is that because those were the only instances with runners on base who advanced?

Considering only 5 called on her all year, 2 in one inning is something out of the ordinary

I don't think that illegals called with no one on base are reflected statistically anywhere.

Because she certainly was called at least a half-dozen times in that game.

Am I incorrect?

The starter was not called

Don't know, if not, they should because it results in a ball to the batter and/ or could potentially take an out off the board.

She has seldom been called for it this year, she has pretty much fixed the problem. Every once in a while an umpiring crew will nitpick and call a few, but she has not been called for it very often this year compared to last year.

This is all still possible as of Sunday morning. JMU and Oklahoma have the most difficult roads to make it true.

How many of us think the Sooners will put 3 wins on the board today to advance?  I could not believe it last night when I saw Paige Parker looking like she was talking some smack about being pulled, along with 2 other players.  I actually thought she was the most innocent good girl alive.[smile]

I think A&M is a different team than when they played Tennessee last time. I think Aggies win in 3.

That could be true, but I don't really know where you are getting that. They lost in the first game of the SEC tournament and won their regional, which wasn't all that challenging. I wish I could say the same for Auburn, but I have zero faith that we will do any damage to Parker.

14/16, my top 8 are all still in though.

The Aggies were obviously great against Texas Southern, but that team is possibly the worst to make the postseason. Should be a close series with Tennessee.
