I believe if both Florida and Florida state wins their regional and supers they play each other first round at the wcws? If so it was smart to pull Burroughs in tally

If all seeds hold, Florida would play Tennessee in the opening round of the WCWS. #1 Seed vs. #8 seed.

UF and FSU, at 1-0, would play in winners bracket semifinals for a right to get that huge Saturday off

I also agree with all of your Regional predictions except for Baton Rouge. Pending how Hoover is doing, I will choose LSU.

WCWS:

Florida
Arizona
Oregon
Florida State
UCLA
Washington
Oklahoma
Tenessee

I think it comes down to Florida/Florida State for the left side and Arizona/Washington on the right.

I have Florida State winning it all. I know a lot will disagree, but I can see them pulling it off imo.

Well, that's wasted space.  No way a biased SEC fan would ever predict UL to beat LSU.  Even with a gimp Hoover.

Yeah....I never said they would sweep Oregon. Not sure where that even came from. Cute YouTube video though.

Damn. Really wanted to unload the cricket. I guess that was a scud. Someone was chirping like crazy about FSU over Oregon.

Anyway, mea culpa

Idk I think they play with a swagger. Just really think highly of that team. I honestly believe that Washington will make the finals off of the right side of the bracket, but Alvelo will have to throw every pitch.

Oregon flat gave away one of their games against them, and Alvelo did pitch 19 innings. We shall see... because NO ONE else is pitching for UW after their 1-4 game on Friday. If Michigan wins a game and forces three games against Alvelo.... who may get piled up

Oregon has a three-headed monster with the third-most-innings kid touching 72... the one who tossed 7 IP in the series finale vs. JB

Is JMU's Good good enough to go a whole weekend at Supers? (Sorry about the pun.)

Good... Betsa...Groenewegen...O'Toole....Alvelo...Garcia...Carlson...

There are a lot of teams that are walking that tightrope

But, to RahOKU's point... Oregon State, on some weekends -- like against UCLA and Utah -- can flat-out rake

She is very good, but if Arizona wins their regional, that is a tough place to pitch and win.

Sometimes it's about the matchup.

Such a strenuous pitching environment...

Tiny bandbox .... hot as hell and ball jumps off bat ... hot as hell and, even though humidity is zilch, pitchers sweat like nuts... wind tends to blow out more than in ... oh, and Arizona this year has a murderous lineup against righties.

I really don't think that O'Toole over Barnhill would be the travesty people would make it out to be (OK... it would be). But a 1.08 ERA with a majority of games at Hillenbrand and with Oregon and Washington having gone in there, is a flipping miracle

And further, for Tooley to come from the MWC and San Diego St with a 1.87 2 year era and lower it over one run for most of this season in a monstrous offensive conference is a major major accomplishment.

Taylor Cotton is no slouch in the circle either. Her outing against UW is burned into my memory

Hoover is just fine.  She pitched twice in relief on Saturday and looked good.

I think Walljasper will be the one to face ULL on Saturday if both teams win Friday.
