I think Spaz's use of "leadership" was referring to a group rather than a single leader. Perez, Pelosi and Schumer are top 3 right now. Add influential people like Sanders and Warren.

Added: These are examples and not meant as a complete list.

I was actually referring to poohbear's comment:

Who can answer this question?  Why is the leader of the Charlottesville white supremacist rally on CNN's payroll?

Pelosi is the leader.  Which shows what a terrible bench the Dems have.

Question for the lefties.  Do you agree with the black students at USC who want the name of the Trojan horse mascot changed from Traveler because it's the same name as Robert E. Lee's horse?

You were originally referring to the WS at Charlottesville. Pelosi and Schumer have done a great job of bringing the Dems together. If the president had half their abilities, the nation would be in serious problems.

My guess is they hired him to stir up trouble that makes the right look like racists.

So if a community votes to keep the statues, then they should stay?

There is a lot of evidence that Charlotesville did vote to keep the statues.  They also formed a blue ribbon commission to provide recommendations, and that commission overwhelmingly voted to keep the statues 80%-20%.

Here is a good article from the Charlottesville progressive Mayor on reasons to keep the statues, but still reject racism.

Bturd do me a favor.  Run this by KPI.  Would love to have her thoughts as a black lesbian.

Ok, so if this is true, then who decides?

The majority votes one thing.  You are saying that gets over ruled by some Oz character behind the curtain?  Who is this person?  Why do they get to decide?  What if the folks don't' agree?

The first sentence has nothing to do with the second.

Our elected officials decide. We have a voice, but in the end we have to abide by their decisions. I don't necessarily agree with the majority all the time, but will live by the decision. Not ready for a revolution yet.

That didn't explain the connection between not being a democracy and most of the statues having to go.

The right likes to say "We are a representative republic, not a democracy" when it suits them, and only then

As usual, you're wrong.  We are a Constitutional Republic.  Doesn't matter whether or not it suits us.  It's a fact.

President Trump was elected... The Left tries to undermine him since he didn't win a plurality... [crazy]

Fresh is just like Dewey - he's abdicated all decisions to his elite leaders.
