How and why are the Sooners allowed to play North Texas and Arkansas in their fall season when everyone else plays jc's?

Don’t most teams play a combo of D1 and JC squads? Arkansas almost always plays some combo of OU, OK State, and/or Tulsa, as well as Crowder and some of the other Missouri or Oklahoma JC’s.

I remember Michigan played Kentucky once or twice in fall ball, talk about great games. The Sierra's were @M at the time.

There was a year where all of UGA's fall ball games were D1

There's a rule that you cannot miss classes for a fall game, so many schools just schedule teams that are close to them. Not all schools have enough D1 teams close to them to be able to play without traveling so they just play whatever schools are close.

It appears more are playing fellow D1 schools this year than in the past.

before my DD played, Cal Poly played in some sort of round robin mixed with JC D2 and D1's

During Her years they played CAL and some other D1's too.. I think there is a limit in distance traveled in the fall.

Scared?   ROTFLMAO.  Let's review.  OU beat Arkansas 7-2 and 9-0 in the Super-Regional.  I didn't see Arkansas at the WCWS.  Too scared to show up?  That's rich.  Only a Arky hillbilly would say that.  Someone hit you with the stupid stick.

I believe Devin is a bitter Florida fan. He still has visions of Alo's home run off Barnhill in his head.

I doubt either side is all that worried about a fall scrimmage.

This.

Lots of young faces in both lineups. First chance to test-drive the freshman talent.

I thought a lot of teams played Jucos to evaluate any potential transfers.

Alo in 2018, Knighten in 2017... the so-called ESPY winning Kelly Barnhill serves up appetizing "goodbye" pitches at crucial moments.  It's been a joy to celebrate at her expense.

LOL. I had the same thought, surfin.

Can't decide if Devin is an actual Snowflake or just someone who'll say anything to get a laugh. Either way, the guy can, on occasion, be entertaining.
