Softball America has come out with a listing of their top 100 players for the 2019 season.

https://www.softballamerica.com

Oklahoma is the only team with six players in the top 100 (and they are all in the top 75).

Oklahoma has 3 of the top 12 players listed...  and 4 of the top 16.
#3 Alo,  #6 Knighten,  #12 Juarez  and #16 Romero.

So this publication sees Oklahoma as having 25% of the top 12 (and of the top 16) players in the game.
That seems like a pretty impressive grouping of the top talent.

Oklahoma also has five players in the top 34.
#3 Alo,  #6 Knighten,  #12 Juarez,  #16 Romero  and #34 Mendes.
That's 15% of the top 34 players.

The sixth Sooner on this list is Saile at #74.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While Oklahoma has 5 players in the top 34...  only two other teams have five players in the top 100.
UCLA has five - but their fifth player is ranked at # 98.
#1 Garcia,  #10 Jordan,  #20 Nickles,  #24 Perez  and #98 Faraimo.

Florida State also has five players  - but their fifth player is ranked at #100.
#9 King,  #30 Sherrill,  #88 Gordon,  #95 Shelnutt  and #100 Sandercock.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While Oklahoma has four players in the top 16 (and UCLA has 4 in the top 24   and FSU has 4 in the top 95)...
there are only four other teams that have four players ranked among the top 100.

Arizona has 4 in the top 55:  #31 Mulipolah,  #43 Palomino-Cardoza,  #51 McQulilin  and #55 Harper.
Tennessee has 4 in the top 67:  #5 Leach,  #22 Holcomb,  #38 Arnold  and #67 Seggern.
Arizona State has 4 in the top 87 (but none in the top 50):  #58 Hackbarth,  #60 Gortarez,  #73 Howe  and # 87 Meza.
Arkansas has 4 in the top 99:  #18 Haff,  #40 McEwen,  #62 Gibson  and #99 Jackson.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are seven additional teams that have three players listed in the top 100.

Washington has 3 in the top 23 (but then no others made the list):  #8 Bates,  #14 Alvelo  and #23 Plain.
Florida has 3 in the top 25 (but no others made the list):  #2 Lorenz,  #4 Barnhill  and #25 Lindaman.
Georgia has 3 in the top 36 (but no others):  #15 DiCarlo,  #26 Febrey  and #36 Milz.
South Carolina has 3 in the top 54:  #37 Drotar,  #47 Boesel  and #54 Oh.
Texas has 3 in the top 57:  #13 Elish,  #17 Jefferson  and #57 Rhodes.
Louisiana has 3 in the top 59:  #41 Hudek,  #56 Dalton  and #59 Ellyson.
Alabama has 3 in the top 83:  #28 Tow,  #46 Hemphill  and #83 Fouts.

Awful list, Knighten is way too high, Caylan Arnold is way above Mackayla Martin?, Alyssa DiCarlo is too low, Jenna Holcomb at 23?, Janae Jefferson is too high, Kiana Sherlund is too high, etc.

I love, love, love Miranda -- my girl and she committed the same weekend in 2012 -- and she is a top-10er!

But.... WTF

"Was the ace of the Ducks last season..."

You just lose your credibility.

You MIGHT get away with "an ace" or "co-ace"

But not that

Way too high?

For others who may have forgotten: top of the 17th inning, two outs in perhaps the greatest college softball game ever.

Man... there are some Pac kids that got chewed up last year in conference and still ended up with huge numbers.

They could go crazy with the stick this year, with so much of the pitching elsewhere

"Oklahoma is the only team with six players in the top 100 (and they are all in the top 75)." – HLA

That's odd, considering the fact that UCLA has more talent.

But, of course, Softball America has no credibility.

By ranking ANY kid who hasn't even taken a swing or thrown a pitch above current College players makes this list a total joke.

No Morganne Flores? Was tied for 4th in total RBIs (74, #1 in the Pac-12) in 2017.

Granted, she had zero in 2018.
