She's a complete 180 from the previous staff and I have no doubt an improvement. As more Big Ten schools take the time to make good hires and show success, they'll be able to recruit the best and brightest from the Midwest. It's an incremental improvement that will pay off in the long run.

So... are you saying men softball coaches are just better (at the top level of play) than women softball coaches..??

That seems SO sexist.

Unless... you also believe that the big ten needs to hire some sharp women baseball coaches - as well.

Lmao hell no to women coaching men's baseball.

Women should stop trying to be equal to men at everything...cuz we are not. And men are not equal to women...different strengths!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with some separation. All this ridiculous trying to prove how equal the sexes are is distasteful and has damaged relations between the sexes.

Janie - I agree with you... that men and women are not the same (different strengths and weaknesses) and therefore not equal. And this is very clear in regard to some jobs (or sports). When it comes to digging a ditch, men surely have an advantage over women. When it comes to blocking a defensive end, men surely have an advantage over women.

But... I do not see ANY differences that make a man a better college softball coach - than a woman. In regard to being a head softball coach - a woman CAN be every bit as good as a man (and possibly even better). I believe that a woman can be better than a man at empathizing with female players... and can have an easier time relating to female players (especially what may be going on in their heads). These factors can make a female coach better at motivating their female players.

This certainly does not make ALL women coaches better than men - at coaching female athletes. Some women just aren't very good coaches... and some men aren't very good coaches either.

The great current equalizer, transgender restrooms. We should all hope for hermaphrodite coaches. The aliens got it right, no different sexual organs to screw us all up.

If it were not so dangerously true, it would be super funny.[smile]
