Can LSU overtake Tennessee in RPI or for a Top 8 seed if they make it to the championship game?

They could possibly overtake them in RPI. But the Committee does not have to go with the RPI exactly, and sometimes they don't.  I think the SECT could have a big impact on who gets the final top 8 seed.  Tenn, LSU, SC, and UGA all could get it by winning the Tourney or making a deep run.

During the season, SC swept Tenn and Tenn swept LSU. Those head to head results could come into play.

In this first game:

-Texas A&M has never won a game in the SEC Tournament since they joined the conference in 2013.

-Mississippi State last won a game in the SECT in 2005.

One team will break that streak.

Pretty good pitcher’s duel so far. Smart to go with the drop ball pitchers.

Mississippi State is really fired up. You can tell they are playing for Alex Wilcox. I didn’t think State would be as strong this year after losing Silkwood to graduation.

A&M should still host though. Ward had 3 K’s in the 7th after 1 through the first 6 innings.

So do we see an A&M SR matchup with UCLA or Washington?

Vans reliance on Silkwood held that team down. Not saying Silkwood wasn’t good; I just think she relied on her too much.

Agreed. It reminds me of Auburn doing better with Bunner, Schmalz, and Loree after Thompson graduated.

Yes. But I liked Thompson and I didn’t like Silkwood. 😜

With A&M's loss, the door is open for Bama to get as high as the 13 seed with a win over AU tonight. I think A&M will be 13 or 14, which would put them against Florida or OU in a Super IMO

Which, compared with the current incarnation of Bama, would be a huge relief for those two

Thanks, SEC.  Just cut to a full commercial break during action in top 7.

Kentucky finished 8-15 in the league (should’ve been 9-15 if it weren’t for that LSU rainout) and lost today to another bubble host team in Arkansas. I know their RPI is high, but I just don’t see the Wildcats hosting.

You can't run yourself out of the inning with your big bat at the plate, but... Kentucky does it.
