Baylor just defeated South Carolina. I know it's just day 1 but how does South Carolina look so far?

Baylor got their first two runs off 4 walks in the 1st innings

SC did struggle to string together multiple hits in an inning. Pitching was a bit erratic under Oh, offense struggled a bit though.

K. Oh struggled, she had 6 walks, couldn't seem to find her spots. Raley looked pretty good, she showed well against BYU also

I saw the box scores. It looked like Raley had two good relief outings.

Will the two freshman pitchers for South Carolina get any time in the circle this weekend? (Vaughan and Heath)

Yeah, I think Gorsuch is going to have some space to work her issues out. After she warms back up.

Torina needs to give freshman experience against Tulsa. Kilponen and Wickersham need to pick up a couple of innings of experience when its 18-1.

Kilponen and Wickersham will both get starts this weekend

They did get to work in Tidwell and Cummins. Tidwell looked pretty good, I didn't know she had that kind of an arm. Curious how her bat will be at this level.

Also Ole Miss opened up the season with a 3-0 win over UCF

They lost 2 of 3 to open the season last year at New Mexico State and ended up as scrappy as they always are.

I bet Kentucky will end up fine.

Mizzou is up 7-0 on #12 AZ State in the 3rd, and they beat Utah 9-0 earlier in the day. Congrats on a great first day, Coach Anderson!

Not so fast, they might extend the game to the 6th inning.
