The irony here is that Cal State Fresno's pitcher's delivery was illegal on that play. Just like every other pitch she threw.

Getting back to the SEC, no sour grapes. UT was an SEC Softball School before it was cool to be an SEC Softball School. I'll be cheering for you guys the rest of the season cuz the better you play the better it looks for SJS come selection time. Hopefully we can back this game up with good games vs. Auburn and Miss St.

I hope Arnold for Tennessee can find her groove soon. If Tennessee is going to make it to the WCWS they are definitely going to need her.

Way to early in the season but if Arnold or sprang can not find their groove or rhythm Tennessee might have a short season.

UK was less than good in their 1st game.  Pitching is going to be a serious question mark.

Oklahoma's shortstop (Arnold) also got called out for her foot being about an inch out of the box today.

<< LSU has a trash hitting coach. Its the truth.
LSU's hitters are mechanically flawed. Its not even a debate >> (Grindz)

Grindz - Could you please tell us what you would try to do with each of LSU's hitters...
if you were their hitting coach..?
What are the flaws in each particular batter...
and exactly what would you have them do - to correct their flaws..?

South Carolina fell to FIU 3-1. Saile is no joke. She has two 15 K games this weekend

FIU gonna be this year's Cal Poly.

But, unlike the Hyland Poison Pills, FIU COULD win their conference and Saile up to Gainesville....

I mean seriously. We couldn’t do a thing with her! Would love to see the Gators run into her

Faced her last season. Gave up 5 er but looked pretty good. Then in fall ball she was very good. Only able to get a couple off her.

that said... what utter garbage that we already know that if FIU wins its conference, it will play in Gainesville. 4 seeds should be the only ones held to the 400 mile rule.

Kentucky and Missouri have no aces this year unfortunately. Fortunately, Florida plays them both - first and last SEC series

Glad to see Burton and Gray recognized for a great weekend. Would love to see us pull a few more of these in SEC play this year!

Arkansas wins its opener 6-2 over Grand Canyon, with Fr Mary Haff going the distance - 7 K's, 1 ER, 0BB. Fr Linnie Malkin hit 2 Hrs in her first two college at bats.

The Hogs are tied 2-2 with ranked Utah in the 5th currently.

Update - Hogs pull out the 4-2 win with 2 runs in the top 7. Storms got the start and pitched four very solid innings and gave up 2 unearned runs. Haff pitched the final 3 innings and just shut the Utes down, putting up 6 K's. If the Hogs can sort out their iffy defense up the middle, they might be able to make some noise.
