I think the teams mind is on a bigger picture and will save Kelly's and ocasio arms as much as possible. I'm not saying wining the sec will keep them from winning the title or not winning Florida will win the NCAA title. I'm saying Florida doesn't really care about this tournament because they are a top 8 see will host both regionals and supers.

That 2013 team were the comeback kids. Ton of freshman starters getting their feet wet, a mediocre offense and a lot on Rogers' shoulders. Also more than half the team hadn't been to OKC before.

They lost to Tennessee b/c they were the best team in the SEC. Renfroe sisters, Shipman, Chavanne, Gibson, etc. were amazing that year.

They lost to Texas b/c they were one hit by Luna and Rogers gave up a 3 run HR on a mistake pitch, not because they won the SECT.

In fact, this case study is probably the best example of why they even made it to OKC. Winning the SECT earned them the #2 seed (2-5 was very influx that year) when many people thought Florida didn't deserve that seed. However, that matched them up with a Louisville team that was questionably seeded at #15 (and lost their regional to UAB). Florida struggled mightily getting past UAB's pitching trio and could have easily lost that Super. Imagine if they don't win the SEC tournament and have to face a higher seeded team with pitching and an offense.

Doesn't sound like you have confidence in the Gators this year..........Maybe you agree with me that they're not as good this year.........

And, it fits with what you're saying about the SEC tournament..........You wanna win it.........But, the best strategy is to not win a game..........

Or try and win without using your number 1 in the circle...

I will storm the front office if they give that award to Mia over Tow. Mia didn’t even hit .300 in conference and doesn’t even have a 1.00 OPS. Screw everything else. Tow with better numbers and a tougher schedule.

ETA: at the very least go CoFOY if you want Mia in there.

Haff is still SEC freshman of the year in my estimation. No other freshman has done for her team what she has done this year.

Crap. Forgot about her. Fully agreed. I give way to the changeup queen.

Check out “The Shippies” with Madison shipman on SECsports.com. I was on board with all of her picks.

I'd be curious to know if it was the same runner that got body-checked by the 1B in game one.

Edit: Just looked, it was not.

So Keeli Milligan is gone at TAMU? What happened, started almost the whole year, fairly good results, then had a reduced role in the last few games for a statistically worse Fortenberry. Off the roster, twitter bio is empty.

I'd love Auburn to pick her up but they're both SEC teams obviously.

The article says both parties agreed to the punishment so why was she surprised that he was back on campus. Or was it because he was reinstated on the swim team.
