Let's see Carlson get called for some illegal pitches now.

Smith was illegal but Carlson is consistently illegal.

If the opening weekend is any indication of the sec softball season it's going to be a good one.

Anna Gibbs can spin anything. Too bad she sounds absolutely ridiculous doing it.

It ain't going to be 3-0.  At best 3-1.  God I hope I didn't just jinx this run rule.

I will say this.... Coach Torina is one of the most laconic and laid back out there. She needs to be going ballistic every once in a while

Exactly, Smith gets called for leaping...ya kidding me!! Carlson spends more time playing 1st base than she does on the actual mound. Plate umps are spineless cowards for not calling the obvious. According to at least 1 P5 Head Coach, infractions such as Carlson's are not considered a "point of emphasis" this season because it doesn't create any distinct advantage. So I guess pitching from a rubber which extends another 12" towards first base is acceptable?? Because Carlson throws 1 pitch 90% of the time.... screwball. The angle she creates on her delivery damn near allows her to have her ball enter the zone from the 1st base side of the plate. Wonder if Megan Good would like to have that same advantage throwing inside at 70mph?

I challenge any ump on this forum to defend her delivery & please explain why it ISN'T called?

We all know it's who Carlson plays for that keeps the umps at bay. Was that way @ ASU too.

She's always been too nice to be a head coach.

Well dang. Who forgot to tell those Cajun umps they weren't a point of emphasis.

Also if any of the pitching rules are worthwhile, the lane violation would be most important.

Lastly, how do they decide what is a point of emphasis for each year? Throw them in a hat and draw infractions?

I think replanting at 39-40 feet is more advantage-grabbing, but, for sure, jay, lane is right there in a photo finish
