The third UGA run was always going to score because it came after a hit, not the errant throw. With two outs you're running on contact, and even from first Burton was going to score because she's that fast.

Lsu and uga postponed until tomorrow. Looks like rain in the forecast for tomorrow's and Sunday's games for Florida vs. auburn.

Walljasper pitched a wonderful game against UGA, en route to a 2-0, series-clinching win at home. To think that Georgia only has 5 hits through 2 games is kind of shocking...

So many blown opportunities in this game against the Tigers. One thing I'll note is that Lu's teams have historically been awful at hitting the offspeed. With Walljasper's slow curve and straight change working, it almost seemed like the game was over in the third inning.

Definitely noticing a lack of confidence and synergy on the team at this point. On a positive note, Avant threw as good of a game as she's thrown all year, so hats off to her!

Has osorio ever been taken out of a game this season?

A loss is a loss any way you spin it, but Avant pitched a heck of a game. One bad inning (and even that was largely LSU beating Georgia at their own game) but otherwise a solid effort. She'll be fun to watch for the next four!

Yes but only one other time was she chased. ULL.

What's it matter. Our offense is horrible. We have veterans who are on their fourth year seeing blue and they can't hit her. She ain't that good.

8 runs in one inning. Gotta love Madi Moore. Please send her to Troy.

Wonder if ULL is still feeling special with their 7 runs off Madi Moore.

If we start Elliott in this next game, we will lose this series. She is horrible as well.

Blue for 14 innings? She should be ready to go after this warmup.

Ok so is it just me or is there any thought that maybe UGA is going through something personal as a team bc they are hitting very poorly. I haven't saw them hit this bad in a while. The pitchers are doing good, just a lack of production from everyone in their lineup

Good news for UGA is they are pitching well. Bad news is their offense is in a dark winter. Better now than in May, but their SEC schedule is brutal.

no synergy or fight.

Or-- and hey, this is a wild one-- they are facing a nasty trio of pitchers from LSU that are just that good? Don't get me wrong, we should be hitting it at least some, but give LSU their credit.

I meant to add that, but still, it seems like there's no fight at all. This isn't Georgia softball. We may not win all the time, but we sure do fight until it's over, which they're not doing.

LSU definitely has stud pitching, but the Dawgs have squandered plenty of opportunities. Seems when the heavy hitters are on, the Emanuels can't do anything at all, and vice versa. Gotta feel bad for Gray if this one ends 1-0.

Or when your heavy hitter fouls out with a runner on third on the first pitch of the at-bat. Pitching from both teams has been great all series long, but Georgia's offense is in Athens.

1-0 Tigers heading to the bottom of the final frame.

FWIW, Brittany Gray has pitched lights out in the first two weekends of conference play. Gotta give her a shout out!

Brittany gray is awesome. Better than Chelsea wilkinson thus far in conference play last season. But the offense is definitely in Athens. And if u look on the schedule, they better have it in Athens, bc auburn comes to town next weekend then they go to Gainesville

LSU sweeps UGA and doesn't allow a run in either game of the Sunday double header. Once again, an error makes all the difference - something we are sadly becoming more and more accustomed to seeing from this unit.

Wonderful pitching from LSU all weekend! Once their offense starts firing on all cylinders, they will be a strong contender for OKC in my opinion.
