Super excited to see Maggie Balint this year, since she was sidelined most of 2018 with a back injury and sat out in 2019. Expecting her to put up some big numbers as an Aztec. Don’t know too much about the program as I only started following when Balint and Shultz announced their transfer. Do we expect them to make some noise in the NCAA tournament?

In 2013 with Danielle O'Toole in the circle the Aztecas lost twice to Georgia in the Tempe regional and in 2014 O'Toole lost to Michigan in the Tempe regional.
Like to see Maggie take SDSU to the regionals.
Let's see how the Wicked Coach of the West treats Maggie.

Interesting... let’s hope they don’t get sent to Tempe [wink]

What’s the story behind Van Wyk?

The last time SDSU participated in the NCAA tourney was in 2015 in the Los Angeles regional.
The Aztecas split two games with Texas and lost the final game to UCLA.
They have been in the NCAA Tournament 11 times. First one in 2001.

Funny with your "wicked witch" comment.  Not one player has used the portal to transfer.  The last player to transfer was O'Toole, who went to Arizona.

SDSU is looking to get back into being regulars in the postseason.  Maggie is going to lead the team there. It would be nice to see them being sent out of the area, so they do not have to play UCLA or an Arizona team to get into the supers.

UNLV has the best chance to stay with SDSU this year for the MWC title. Good pitching returns and they only lost 3 graduates from the conference’s 3rd best hitting team. Champion CSU and runner up Boise St have just lost too much to compete this year. I would think Garza starts the year on the hot seat after disappointing finishes since her tenure started.
