Let's see if she can live up to the hype of 7 million threads and 3 billion posts 😉 I almost thought we were talking about LeBron and not a great softball pitcher on a team with the 68th hardest strength of schedule.

It's not quite dark here in Oklahoma, but the sky has a definite green tint.

🙄 ... nobody said she is the second coming of Christ, people. She is just one of the better transfers available. Therefore, many schools were interested and her previous school made her wait a loooooooooong time (while everyone got fired up and talked about it), hoping hat she would stay.
She is a D1 stud and will be just exactly that. Almost every big time school has one.

Wishing her the very best of luck but OU is NOT FIU. 😬

Her era went up her sophomore year, to nearly 2.0. Freshman year 1.51.

She was a stud 'til she committed to OU. Suddenly she's a scrub. LOL

She beat Florida 5-0 with 9 k's. That's all you need to know really.

I preferred the win against South Carolina with 17 k’s.

For knowing so much about Saile and FIU you should know it was 15 k's not 17.  No need to embellish[wink]

As her pitching coach, which by the way I find very odd that you post on these sites... seems like you’re violating this girls trust and privacy on some level. Nobody's walking into anything at OU as a #1... trust me! Earn it, then boast! 😉

CoachZ has been very transparent on this site about Saile. She's made it abundantly clear she has only offered advice and let the kid make all the decisions. She hasn't posted anything to the contrary. Take the time and read some of her previous posts, if you can find them. She doesn't post that much, especially about her kids.

If she posted Saile would be #1 I missed that. But I doubt it.

I may have missed some posts... my apologies to Coach Z. 🙏🏼 Read one that said pitching coach and that freaked me out a bit.

Yes, Janie. She was pretty miserable by halfway through her second year.

I’ll say it one more time “for the people in the back” and then I’ll move on. She is one of the better pitching transfers available this year. Her recruitment was talked about so very much only because it got dragged out for so long when FIU wouldn’t release her. Nobody said she was the next Honda winner already.
The black and white of it is: she throws mid-upper 60’s, with legit spin, a legit change, a bulldog mentality and a lot of upside as she just started figuring it out her freshman year in college. With a solid pitching coach like Lombardi, she should get the polish that she needs and should have a chance to be something special. But as EVERY kid in D1 has, she will be likely to have some ups and downs.
I apologize for the miss on 15 k’s vs 17. It was no attempt at embellishment. It was merely a statement that she hasn’t only had one good game. As 3LT and a few others will tell you, I’m not a stat junkie and not much for boasting. As a matter of fact, i have said twice now that no one has claimed her to be a superstar already. And AGAIN, the only reason that there have been so many threads was people kept asking if she was able to get recruited yet and if she had decided because her previous school made her wait.
As for why i post on here. I am a former player (and a current coach) with a huge appreciation for the fans — even the nutty ones and the ones i don’t agree with. When i was still playing, my father posted here chatting along with other dads and fans. When he passed away a few years ago, i began to spend a little time here as it was how i got through post season. Some people grieve the most over birthdays and holidays. For me, i miss pop the most when I’m missing our 3-4 phone calls a day during college post season. So this is the place i often say things i would have gotten to say to him. I’ve been fortunate enough to encounter a few softball dads who have made me smile when I’ve been missing him the most.
