I figured something was up. I’d seen lots of posts the last day or two directed at her from her teammates. So sad. Condolences to her family and her softball family at MSU. Prayers for all.

Being a Georgia fan, and thus being "familiar" with the SEC, the story of Ms. Wilcox is one I have heard time and time again this year. I have prayed for her, I have wished for her recovery, and while this fight was not one that could be won... I do feel like she won so much, you know? I feel like we, as fans specifically, have won so much by being able to see her journey and her fight with such adamant courage this year.
I didn't know you, Alex, but it is my sincerest hope you know the good you were able to accomplish in your time with both MSU and NCAA softball, if not softball as a whole. No one fights alone. Not now, and hopefully not ever again.

F* you cancer. What a terribly sad story. Life is too short, cherish every moment, and make as many memories as you can with your children.
Rest in Peace young lady.

A very sad day. One of my DD's teammates on the Bolts. Always a smile no matter any pain or struggles. A wonderful young lady. Prayers to her family.

So sad. Sounds like a tremendous young lady. A really nice tribute from Graham Hays -
Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it. --- John Adams, Thoughts on Government, 1776
