If you automatically believe a Democrat accused of sexual assault is guilty and a Republican accused is innocent, that's Red Team, Blue Team.

If you believe individuals are innocent until proven guilty, that's not Red Team, Blue Team.

If you believe only Democrats should be subject to investigation, but not Republicans, that's Red Team, Blue Team.

If you believe leaders who may have deliberately violated law should be investigated, regardless what team they come from, that's not Red Team, Blue Team.

If you think a Democrat POTUS asking his Attorney General to investigate somebody is inappropriate but have no problem if a Republican POTUS does similar, that's Red Team, Blue Team.

If you believe this Presidential tactic, done by either Party, is out of order, then that's not Red Team, Blue Team.

That should give some idea as to what the phrase means to me.

Americans continue to throw their hands up and claim the Federal Government can't get anything done.  Even Trump followers are showing disappointment over how little is being accomplished.  The frustration is widespread.  Here are some problems our Government has failed to resolve...

- Failed to modernize our infrastructure
- Has not provided green cards to the illegal immigrants working in our businesses
- Hasn't banned abortion
- Hasn't passed a financial fix to SS and Medicare
- Still hasn't built a wall
- Can't make health insurance policies cover contraception
- Can't successfully ban military type assault rifles
- Unable to put an end to electoral college process
- Can't eliminate the deduction for state and local taxes
- Can't find a way to provide everyone preventive health care
- Hasn't seriously tried to address climate change
- Won't stop outside intervention into our democracy and elections
- Can't stop unfair gerrymandering
- Not keeping our drug prices down
- Won't balance the budget

Now this is just a partial list of so called Government inefficiencies.  But are they Government failures?  I don't think so.  I think the American people should take responsibility for what their Government fails to accomplish.  These are controversial issues to resolve and people have different opinions on what should be done.  The American people send up Representatives of which half think one way and half think the opposite.  Therefore the result is gridlock and a Government which can't accomplish much.  When the American people form a consensus on what should be done in this Country, expect an onslaught of solutions and legislation.  Until then, we should stop blaming Congress and hold the American voter responsible for the lack of movement in our Government.  We the voters are responsible for what does or does not get done in this Country.  Time to take responsibility.

Fails to realize that current electoral college process was the central major compromise to form the Union.  Even in 1770's everyone was smart enough to not form a union with New York city dictating crazy liberalism to everyone.  Give it up.

Fails to realize government is inherently inefficient.  That is it's very purpose.

"In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem."

Key problem is lack of leadership at the top. With the polarization of the parties, someone with vision and a desire to compromise has to be taking a leadership position. Instead, we have a self conscious, narcissist that is only concerned with being perceived as "right". Our liar in chief has no idea how to coordinate or blend the divergent agendas. Our leaders must be above the fray, not creating it. I don't see any possibility of working out our problems until we get a leader with vision. This one is blind as a bat.
