Hate it, it's been raining here in SoCal Since God know how early this AM.
Not used to it:
Have no raincoat, gave it away years ago
No umbrella, broken years ago and never replaced.
No shelter to go to to Smoke.
Trouble is nothing to do except WORK..WORK..& MORE WORK.
Don't know how you handle it living up North or back East

It was raining about 3 straight days here in NYC but we prefer rain to snow.  Today it is cloudy overcast and 61.  I ain't complaining about rain.  You try digging an SUV out of a couple inches of snow and cleaning it off.  Not fun.

Ah, but today we get the view of the beautiful mountains covered with a blanket of snow.  I love snow as long as I don't have to be within 4,000 feet of it.  Actually, I just like the looks of snow without all the downsides of snow.  And, that's what we have today.

LMUfan it is beautiful here after the rain.As you mentioned it is great that the snow is far away from us.
There is restaurant in downtown Huntington Beach called Sugar Shack that has a picture of the last time it somehow snowed in HB it was in 1978.
Of course not real snow as in the North or back East.It just made the beaches a little white.

Hammer - My wife and I often eat breakfast at Sugar Shack here in Zephyrhills, Florida.
It's an old people and snowbirds' restaurant - good food for less.

We've had some rain, but...

No longer dreaming of a white Christmans, `cause it's a reality!

Snow in the Santa Cruz Mtns. Pic below shot this morning while cruising CA-35 between CA-9 and CA-84.

For you locals, Alice's Restaurant probably is wonderfully white by now.

Wow, I would take the rain over the 3-6 inches of snow we are supposed to be getting tonight. It sucks to drive in, but, it is something I've become used to. It was so weird in college (Arizona) not having cold weather and snow this time of year. Hard to get into the the Christmas spirit. It has to be cold and snowy. But, I did love the warm weather in January when I could go golfing whenever I wanted!

interesting how we don't hear anymore from the person who got the Noble Peace prize. Maybe now someone will win the prize for global wetting.

Everybody thinks earthquakes are dangerous in California.  Actually a California Driver driving on Snow in California is the most dangerous.  My boss only made in out of his driveway before finding a ditch on the side of the road in those Santa Cruz hills.  Took a tow truck 4 hours to come drag him out.

If it were 55 in Wisconsin right now, I would be wearing shorts. But, its currently 21, which is a huge improvement from the -18 wind chill we had this morning.

Of course, when I was in college, if it dropped to 75 I had a sweathshirt on. Its amazing what you get used to!

Guys guess what : It's raining here in SoCal again today.
Hate every minute of it.But as most say; We need the rain, except those people that live on a hill. They get mud slides when it rains.

An update on Wisconsin weather.... it is no longer bone chillingly cold. Nope, its up to 32. But in exchange for the warmer weather, mother nature has dumped 10 inches of snow in the past 10 hours. Oh, and it hasn't stopped yet!

Well, it was 39 here this morning (high of 60) and I'm fed up with this.  We actually had to fire up the furnace!  Enough is enough.

80 and sunny here today in Tampa, Florida - nicely chilly at night for sleeping (65 degrees). We are predicted into the 70s this week. Beautiful weather. Love being here in our retirement Park, and the weather is one of the reasons. Sending out for Chinese now - General Tso's Chicken and white rice.
P.S. Send rain.
