You saying you feel that politifact is nothing short of a DNC shill site?  Cause that is how it is sounding.

Even a DNC shill site says Obama lied.  Pretty clear, something like you, and 2 others think Obama was being straight about keeping your plan and keeping your doctor.

No, I'm saying just because a source said Obama lied, doesn't make it so.  The Right reacts the same way.  Just because a source says the Right lied, doesn't make it so.  In this Country, we get to make up our own minds.  Many times politifact is correct when identifying things that aren't substantiated or aren't true.  However, they got the one about Obama wrong in my opinion.  My opponents in here think they got the two "lies of the year" the Right was making about Obamacare wrong as well.  They're entitled to their opinion too.

Dewey is explaining how he thinks.  Irrespective of how much evidence is presented, he will stick to his opinion.  He does this because to admit any fault by his team would be bad debate strategy.  This is what he has said and we have to take him at his word.

It's very possible that Dewey knows Obama lied but he won't admit it in this forum because it is bad debate strategy.

Here is Obama's clarification again.  My effort isn't to convince those inside here who disagree with me (that's impossible) but rather to allow everyone else to form their own conclusion as to what Obama was clarifying in the press conference.  Judge for yourself.

Obama - "When I say if you have your plan and you like it, and your doctor has a plan -- or you have a doctor and you like your doctor, that you don't have to change plans, what I'm saying is the government is not going to make you change plans under health reform."

You can keep your plan and keep your doctor was his way of saying stay in the private market if that is your wish.  There are two opinions out there and readers are free to believe as they wish.

a)  Obama was trying to fool a small percent of Americans into thinking they would be keeping their insurance and doctor, or...

b)  Obama was trying to explain to Americans they would not be required to come to the Government exchanges to buy insurance policies, would not have to see specific doctors determined by the Government, and the Government was not in the process of taking over the healthcare industry.

Form your own conclusion as you see fit.

We already have.  Our conclusion fits that of the public's general perception - Obama lied.  You are the outcast.

politifact is largely a DNC shill organization.  through and through.  The fact that they called Obama a liar really means something.

Edit:  Here's more clarification from Obama...

I can't pass a law that says, "I'm sorry, employers, you can never make changes to the health care plans that you provide your employees." What I can say is that the government is not going force you to-- your employer or you to join a government plan, for example. If you're happy with it, and your employer's happy with it, keep it.

But even the new wishy washy statement is a lie.  The government has greatly reduced the number of providers.  They have drastically changed what healthcare gets paid for, largely favoring drug addicted layabouts over hard working Americans.  That is a fundamental shift, even under your expanded defensive views of obama's statements.

I'm not sure there's any truth in that post. If anyone comes along to substantiate any of it, I'll reconsider.

We all know what the President said during the healthcare debate.  That's why I posted his other comments clarifying what he meant by his slogan.  I trust everyone can read his clarification and decide for themselves what he wanted everyone to know.

Obama - "When I say if you have your plan and you like it, and your doctor has a plan -- or you have a doctor and you like your doctor, that you don't have to change plans, what I'm saying is the government is not going to make you change plans under health reform."

PS:  Donald Trump predicted Mexico would pay for a wall and sources told him that wouldn't happen.  Donald Trump predicted we'd reach 5% annual GDP and sources said that isn't going to happen.  Obama predicted you can keep your policy and doctor and sources said that won't be the case.  The Right predicted we'd have death panels and many sources said that was inaccurate.  Donald Trump predicted he would get rid of Obamacare in the first few months after the election and sources said he couldn't do that.  Politicians predict many outcomes and I don't get why President Obama is the only one to be picked out and labeled a liar.  I believe it is partisan in nature.

Maybe some can explain to the readers why among these examples, Obama is the one we should call a liar?  Why he and he only?

Ask Obama why he lies. Trump lies and many people have said they all lie. Powder your diaper and deal with it, Obama lied

Before anyone claims Trump lied about Mexico paying for the wall, they should wait to see how the currently-being-negotiated NAFTA talks go. I suspect that one way or another, Mexico will pay for the wall.

What about Trump predicting he would eliminate Obamacare shortly after the election when people told him that was unlikely?  He knew that was not going to happen.  Is this a lie?  Why not label him a liar like Obama gets called?

Yes, President Trump qualified his slogan too by saying he meant Mexico would pay for it in other ways.  He just repeated the short version too often (not unlike Obama) during the campaign.

My guess is people are damn happy with the 4%.  You see those CBO numbers?  A budget Surplus.  ahhahaah.  How you like them Apples?

Don't be so quick to write off Mexico paying for the wall.  Trump is pretty good, some things take a bit longer.

President Trump lies - President Obama lied.

One side admits it, the other whines about it.

There's your justification.  All the Right wants to do during this Trump Administration is have something to lean on each time he shares falsehoods with American people.  If he isn't straight with us, expect the Right to comeback with "If you like your doctor..."  Do you have any idea how many times that's likely to happen?

We'll never be able to hold another leader accountable if we keep justifying a lack of truthfulness.

No, it's different.  One side admits the lack of truthfulness and kind of expects it.  The other side simply refuses to admit the lies.  It's actually quite comical.

That's not it at all.  It's a life raft for President Trump.  The Right needs justification for a President who is not straight with the American people.  It's embarrassing without a "he did it too" excuse at their disposal.  In any event, it's my prediction to the readers.  Watch each time Trump tells Americans something that isn't true and count the number of times you hear the Right say "If you like your doctor...".  It will be clear then if it isn't clear now.
