Comey should have resigned when Lynch met with Bill on the Tarmac.

Comey should have resigned instead of accepting Lynch's handcuffs on investigating HRC.

Good point.  Comey's behavior became quite strange after that.  The sideways leak of the Abedine laptop was oddly timed, as was his recanting of it.  Perhaps the Lynch, Obummer pressure was causing him to act that oddly.

Do you suppose the ongoing obummer and McCain crew leakage was a part of the issue.  Trump had to be pressuring Comey to get control of things.

This Comey deal is a 1st order cluster.  Lots of mud slinging from both sides now.

trump's abject insecurity is on full display in that letter.

It establishes as record that Comey has communicated to him 3 times that he is not connected to Russia.

All the left has to offer is accepting that as fact, going back into serving 1000 more 'muh russia' nothingburgers, or trying to get their MSM hacks to corner Comey in an interview.  Yes far left and nevertrumpers jump up and down excited for those 'muh Russia' nothingburgers.  Rest of America sits and waits with 5hitty grins on their faces while people try to pretend a 1000*nothing is somehow more than nothing.

I agree Trump would be wise to reduce the tweeting, general 5hitposting, and aggressive counterpunching for a while.   Let the left lather itself up, meanwhile, get some tax reform passed in the house, and finish that obummercare in the Senate.

His world would totally change is he did these two things, even with everything else.  I don't expect to see either, since they all ran like little schoolgirls from big bad Schumer.

I hope they do though.

For some reason, I think this is how Washington is now working.  Before social media and cable news, there was a newscycle, it was not this bad.

Now it seems you have to have a 40 gigawatt dog whistle sounding anytime you want to actually roll up the sleeves and negotiate something.   You have to have that loud cover or everyone is leaking every discussed point and that makes it impossible to compromise.

Because it's become zero sum:  one side must win, and one side must lose.  There are no "half-winners", where a compromise was reached.  That is a double loss.

Party over country.  It has to change, but unless we elected 650 independents, I don't know how it will.

The press has fully lost it's mind.  They have become so mentally unstable.  Their hold on society is the lowest it has ever been.

This is critical in having the American people have an ever increasing say in what the pols are doing to them.

I laugh as the "muh Trump Impeachment" is as funny a nothingburger as the "muh Russians" .  Even if Trump got impeached this very second.  I would still think he has done more to take power from the elites in DC and the elites in that run our press.  Now who he is handing that power too, is not yet as clear as we need.

Missing the point - if the GOP loses the house (which could happen, but I doubt it will), dems could vote to impeach him.

I have a hard time believing a GOP house would do that.

I'm still not clear on what the grounds for impeachment would be.

There are enough house members running around saying they would do it - here is an article with a list:

http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/12/politics/kfile-democrats-impeach-trump/

Granted, it's a who's who of nut jobs from the left, but with a democratic controlled house, I wouldn't put it past one of them to take something he has already done and distort it.  And we are just over 100 days in.

They better come up with a reason in the reason blank on the impeachment form.

They keep dishing out nothingburger after nothingburger over and over, don't people eventually ignore them?

Here is an article by a nevertrumper.    He starts by listing all that Trump has accomplished and clearly likes most of it:
- 36 EO's pretty much delivering everything he said he would when campaigned.
- Made progress on draining the swamp.
- Tight immigration restirction, which is very popular as many believe we have lost control of our border.
- Military action against Syria was honorable and justified.
- New trade deal with China, that increases American exports.
- Tax code reform is coming along.
- jobs, loads and load so jobs.
- American confidence.

Then goes onto say, somehow magically if Trump does not 5hit posting the dems into oblivion and picking on the clearly slow minded press corp, then he autmotmagically gets impeached.

This persons zero ability to understand how impeachment works makes the whole thing laughable.  Zero mention of what would be the reason for a Trump impeachment.
