Status of remaining cabinet-level nominees:

- Alex Acosta for Labor: Passed committee 12-11 last Thu, 3/30.

- Sonny Perdue for Agriculture: Passed committee by voice vote last Thu, 3/30.

- Robert Lighthizer for U.S. Trade Rep: No update.
Cmte hearing held 3/14. GOP disputes Dems claim a waiver is required because he represented foreign government agencies in 1985 and 1991. All 12 Finance Committee Democrats, including West Virginia’s Joe Manchin III, want to tie waiver to legislation for coal miners pensions and health care.

“Jared Kushner, perhaps the one presidential aide who cannot be fired, is now in regular text message communications with Joe Scarborough,” Roger Stone, a former longtime political adviser to Trump, claimed on Alex Jones’s show. “Many of the anti-Steve Bannon stories that you see, the themes that you see on [MSNBC’s] Morning Joe, are being dictated by Kushner. And while Mr. Kushner’s plate is very full with Middle Eastern peace and the China visit, and so on, in this case I think he is disserving the president.”

“Jared Kushner, Gary Cohn, Dina Powell: the three big-government liberals tightening their hold on the White House,” influential right-wing radio host Mark Levin warned on Twitter on Wednesday night.

Not really sure there is any data to substantiate this.

For too many years, the weaklings in the GOP have let Dems run over them and that hasn't worked so well.  This is a new tactic.  What the hell could it hurt?

By the way, how come you don't stick around and debate?  Same for DC and Kazoo.

If you're already effeminate, can you have a female alter ego?

Add to that a new story that it was Ivanka who convinced daddy to attack Syria.  Is it possible that Ivanka and Jared are running the country?

Hmm - didn't expect a dick comment from you but I'll play.

Of course not.  But we didn't elect Ivanka and Jared.  I'm just wondering out loud who's really running the show.

A lot of speculation and rumors being spread by detractors and gossips, so I take it all with a grain of salt. A lot is being driven by sinking job approval numbers. I expect last week should give Trump a boost, so things may quiet down.

Only thing that got on Trump was working with Ryan.  What a disaster that was.

Certainly not the only thing. HFC deserves credit for making Ocare more popular.

How's that travel ban going? Talk about a disaster.

Travel ban highlighted the true downside of running loser candidates like McCain and Romney.  Echos from the time our party was ruled by the red nose drunk himself.

Good thing republicans got smart and put someone in the race that could win.

common sense question pabar.  Valerie Jarrett and Michelle added their .02 to every decision curious george made, that wasn't really that many.  I just asked you which you preferred and wanted to see if you denied that Jarrett and Michelle had their hand prints all over that Whitehouse.

" I'm just wondering out loud who's really running the show."

Been wondering that myself since about 2004 [13 years] when dick Cheney and McCain were running the show

No doubt every president has people in his ear but, if I believe the story I read, Ivanka's emotional response about Syria changed her dad's mind on the response.  Think about that.  That's far different than a lot of people giving their opinion.  Ivanka may have the power to tell her dad to do whatever she wants him to do.  I don't think there's ever been influence like that from one person.

you're entitled to your opinion but if you base your claim on
"if I believe the story I read" then I'll bow out of this, since no link.  Seemed a little outrageous to me and I would have questioned whoever stated it as a probability, wasn't picking on you.  bluedog has you shellshocked

Not sure what I did to you to deserve the insults but to say Bluewey has me shellshocked is a pretty stupid statement.  Have a great day.
