rumors of Steve O'Bannon as Chief of Staff.  I think that would be a mistake.

and you are right - the protests have to stop

Donald met with BO today for almost 1-1/2 hours and Trump said afterward it was only scheduled for 10-15 minutes and could have gone on for a lot longer. Trump also expressed a desire to keep meeting with Obama and to seek his counsel after he leaves office.

Melania met with MO for tea and a tour. They talked about raising children in the WH. Barron is 10yo, about the same age as the Obama girls 8 years ago, and will be the first son in WH since JFK Jr.

Ivanka's husband, Jered, went for a long walk around the South Lawn with WH Chief of Staff Denis McDonough. Hmm...

Hope Hicks met with WH Communications staff.

I've posted before about the importance of WH Chief of Staff since they are POTUS's closest adviser and their gatekeeper. Whoever got Trump on script and kept him there deserves strong consideration, however they should have prior government experience since Trump doesn't. It needs to be someone that knows Trump well, Trump respects and is strong enough to deal with everyone coming at him.

I always liked this line from "West Wing": You got a best friend? Is he smarter than you? Would you trust him with your life? That's your chief of staff.

My feeling is Donald may have 2 or 3 of those type people.  Will he choose one of them?  hmmmmm

The greatest of ideas.  Put him in charge of all tunnels and bridges in and out of our cities.  Name him

I saw that.  I was thinking of applying for a job.  Maybe some high level Deputy at the USDOT.  We'd streamline the crap out of project delivery.  I know too much about time and money wasters by those guys.

Wouldn't mind seeing Bolton as SOS.  Some of the folks pushing us around for the past 8 years probably wouldn't like it though.

Reince Priebus is a name floating around for Chief of Staff. I gotta believe Trump wants him in his admin.

Now that Trump has won, people are coming out of the woodwork to help with the transition and/or serve - http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/trump-national-security-team-includes-surprising-names-n682196. Mike Rogers is one of the notables.

From http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2016/11/10/Trump-transition-team-begins-to-evaluate-Cabinet-posts/6811478791545/:

- Sen Sessions for Defense or OMB

- Sen Corker and UN ambassador John Bolton for State

- "Trump's campaign finance chairman Steve Mnuchin, a veteran of Wall Street and Goldman Sachs, has been reported as a potential pick for treasury secretary"

- Gen Flynn for Nat'l Security Adviser

Reports of immigration hardliner Kris Kobach joining the transition team appear overblown. From https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2016/11/10/the-wall-is-going-to-get-built-immigration-hard-liner-joins-trump-transition/:

Rather than coming to Washington for meetings in the official transition offices, Kobach said he was conducting most of his work remotely. An email to Kobach seeking further detail was not returned.

“The work I do with the transition team is just conference calls and email, so it’s actually people all over the country who are experts in immigration policy and immigration law just working together and talking on the phone,” he said.

Progress anyway.

At least they aren't out playing golf like the last Prez did instead of working

Yeah, I wondered about the significance of him meeting today with current WH Chief of Staff, McDonough (see post #5).

Two other polarizing names on the list are Clare Lopez a former CIA officer who has said the Muslim Brotherhood has "infiltrated" the Obama administration

Real, I posted too quick about Clare Lopez.......

Actually I meant to say, I don't like this person..........Warmongers aren't my cup of tea.......

IMO, Gowdy wouldn't fit in an inner-circle of Trump's..........

He's too much of a blowhard and he doesn't accomplish.........Trump looks for results, not rhetoric........

Rudy gets stuff done......[thumb]

Real, I have no doubt the Muslim brotherhood is in our Government.......Heck, they're in our White House.......

What I don't like is a resolute to be involved in the affairs of the middle east.......We're there now, but, we need an exit plan.......Clare Lopez wants to stay involved over there........

We need to strengthen our military and keep our troops here.......

Bush was whacked taking us over there........The Bush family is corrupt and they had financial and personal motives in pre-emptively invading Iraq and Afghanistan........
