Criminy, Cal Poly had a kid that -- by pure athletic ability -- should have been a three-time all-Pac first teamer

Gotta watch the games

You can learn about the style of throwing that Dean teaches here: https://coachtube.com/course/softball/defense-an-evolution-nfca2016/625060

<< HLA, I have a question out of curiosity.  Why don't you use the quotation feature that is available when quoting comments from other posts?  Your method makes it hard to follow exactly what quote(s) you are responding to.  Like I said, I am just curious. >> (ShepJones1 1)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I enjoy being different.

You will have to explain exactly how "my method makes it hard to follow what quote(s) I am responding to".
The quote I am responding to is the one in color at the top of the post - and it has the poster's ID listed at the end of their quote - every time.
When there is more than one quote being quoted - they are put in different colors to help identify them as coming from different posters... and again the poster of each quote is always identified at the end of every quote.

I think those factors actually make my method easier to follow.

I have a question for you, ShepJones1 1...

Why does your listed name (ShepJones1 1) have a space between the two 1s..?
Just curious.

Since the ESPN/USA poll has Utah and Michigan tied at #16...

I am wondering - which of those two teams do you see as going further in the post season?

I guess if you want to hear Dean talk about coaching defense for an hour, then yes, you gotta pony up the ten bucks. I've never seen such a group of cheapskates who expect everything for free as there are on this website.

There were people on this thread talking about how Dean is changing the team's throwing style. Below are a couple of examples.

fireballroberts wrote: "Changed how the infielders and outfielders throw the ball as going to short push style throws."

to which 3LT replied: "what....the....F***??????"

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I didn't come here looking to purchase a video of coach Dean presenting his ideas on how to play defense.
People on this site mentioned that he was changing the way his players are going to throw. Then you (BigTenSoftball) told us we could learn about the style of throwing that Dean teaches at a link you supplied. If you want to get to the gist of how his particular throwing technique differs from the norm... I'm sure there are people who visit this site that might be interested in hearing about that (since it had been brought up). But it was never my intention or desire to go and purchase a coach Dean one hour video on defensive play.

If anyone who did choose to pay the ten bucks to watch Dean's one hour video - wants to give us a short breakdown of how he changed his current player's throwing techniques... it might be interesting to hear.

BigTenSoftball - Thanks for offering the site... but it was not what I was expecting to find when I clicked on it. I was expecting some short explanation of the different technique that coach Dean feels is a better methodology for throwing - not an opportunity to purchase one hour videos that people are trying to sell.

I feel the same.
I wanted to see if others felt differently - so I was waiting to see any responses.
But yours has been the only response.

Utah over Michigan. Expecting the Wolverines to struggle in the circle this year whereas Utah will not.

Besides having Oklahoma at #5...
they also have Minnesota at #9
and Louisiana Lafayette at #15

Arizona at #3 seems a tad high.
AZ loses two key studs like O'toole and Mauga (while OK loses only Hatfield) - and they have AZ ahead of OK..??

I knew I was forgetting some other AZ grads. Thanks for the pick up, 3LT.
Makes their AZ at #3 even more suspect.
