Looking forward to watching the OC United vs. Hotshots 16U game tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. in Phoenix.  Found out earlier today that OC United is coached by former ASU four time All American Kaitlin Cochran while the Hotshot team's assistant coach is my dd, Annie Lockwood, also from ASU.  I haven't seen Kaitlyn in a while and I've never watched her coach, so it should be a great time.  The teams look like they are pretty evenly matched by looking at the scores of the games on Saturday.  Pat, if you're around, I'd love to visit!

Good to hear Kaitlin and Annie are still in the game. However, I'm feeling ambivalent about the name of Coach Cochran's squad. All good to see the Hotshots still representing, but...

OC United? Sheesh. Sounds like a soccer team. Ugh!

(Now, if they are affiliated with United Airlines, no problem-oh. Wife works for UA. Fly the Friendly Skies and keep my spouse employed.)

Hotshots won the battle, but OC United won the war, getting a PGF Berth at the tourney.  Hotshots lost the game after the United game in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs leading by one to the Athletics and then lost right away once in the losers bracket.  I got to talk to Kaitie a bit and it was nice to see her out on the field again.  Congrats to her team!

Hi JMO...

She posted that her team won a berth on facebook.  I see now it was the 12U branch of her club.

Thanks for the correction.
