Just looked at the weather forecast for the weekend in Oxford.  Friday/Saturday looks good but 90% chance of rain on Sunday.  Followed by 50% on Monday.  Will they play more games on Saturday or wait it out?

Chattanooga... After claiming the program's 14th SoCon Tournament title and the 11th berth into the NCAA Tournament, Chattanooga will play as the No. 4 seed in the Oxford Regional. UTC finished the season with a 37-15 overall record.

Southeast Missouri won the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament with a 4-1 record in Oxford, Alabama last weekend. The top-seeded Redhawks won their final three games of the tournament to claim the crown. The 2019 campaign marks the first time in 20 years where the Redhawks have won both the OVC regular-season and tournament titles, and advanced to an NCAA Tournament.

Louisiana, who is 50-4 on the season, and currently riding a 27-game win streak, is one of only 9 programs to appear in an NCAA Regional every year since 2000, joining Alabama, Arizona, Florida St., Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, UCLA, and Washington.

I agree. While Louisiana was not deserving of hosting because the didn't play but 2 top 50 teams all season, that doesn't man they aren't one of the best 16 teams. I kind of think they are, and OM has been reeling. Lost 3 straight to UGA, looked rattled, and got whipped big time by Kentucky. I consider Louisiana the favorite in this regional. They might give Arizona quite a tussle in the Supers too.

Glasco will make it there eventually, but, this isn't the team that'll do it, IMO..........

If they hit like they can, and have shown most of the season they will get to the supers.  If they hit like they have been of late they will not.  I think pitching and defense will not be an issue, just comes down to the bats.
If the Cajuns win this this regional will they get any respect?

I agree as well. I've watched pretty much every cajun softball game this year and a fair amount of OM especially toward the end of the year and if this were a 1 game series I think UL should be favored. The problem is they need to start with SEMO and then play at least two more, probably against OM to win. I dont think UL has much confidence in anyone but Ellyson so I think it will come down to if she can pitch at a high enough level for all those innings and of course how the lineup does against Finney and Jacobsen. They did well enough against dung and Conley but that's not quite the same level. I still have them as my only upset but I think it could go either way, honestly. If they win the regional, I agree they could give AZ trouble.

So they are a threat?  They are in the Southern Conference.

Cajuns win 2-0 and advance to the regional final. Ole Miss drops into the loser's bracket and has to win tonight and twice tomorrow to advance.

Wow. Ole Miss strikes for 2 in the 3rd. Solo shot and bunt single/throwing error/inside the park home run. ULL pitcher chased from the game. Assuming she’s being saved for the if necessary game. Solo shot makes it 3-0 now still top 3.

Complete mismanagement of the pitching staff by coach smith today. Jacobsen comes in and gives up a 3 run bomb, then loads the bases in the 6th, only to bring the starting pitcher back in. Feel bad for Finney if this is the end. Had the 3-0 lead in the 5th before getting pulled.

How often do you see a walkoff slap fielders choice?

And Finney gets the win. Man the CF Becker is really good. Robbed a 2 run bomb over the fence, scored 2 runs herself.

Well ,today I've seen a catcher catch a foul ball between her legs....and an aluminum bat snap off at the handle during a swing.....so nothing is impossible.....

That makes two snapped bats in the regional round.
