Being a Democrat, diplomacy is always the preferred approach so the meeting between these two leaders was a good thing as far as I'm concerned.  At the very minimum, it gets these two men to lower the rhetoric that was once pushing us towards war.  Outside of that, I'm not sure if any of this gets us anywhere.

President Trump got our hopes up when he said he loved the DACA kids, but that went nowhere.  He gave average citizens some hope when he said he would increase taxes on the wealthy and, once again, it was an empty promise.  Similarly, he said he would provide all Americans with better healthcare and we all recognize that never happened.  Meetings with enemies, like promises, mean little if nothing ever changes for the better.

It can't go without saying if Obama or Hillary had put this meeting together, the Right would have been outraged.  If Obama had called Kim Jong Un an honorable man, the Right in this Country would have exploded.  This double-standard in our Country is very damaging and it makes it very difficult for Americans to determine if actions taken by our leaders are intended to benefit America or intended to gain political capital towards a future election.  Maybe in time we'll know which motive was behind this meeting with Kim Jong Un.

Obama -  "When I say if you have your plan and you like it, and your doctor has a plan -- or you have a doctor and you like your doctor, that you don't have to change plans, what I'm saying is the government is not going to make you change plans under health reform."

A 2017 opinion poll ranks Reagan and Obama #1 and #2 best Presidents since WWII.

President obama said isis was the Jv team. Thousands died
Candidate obama said if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. It has been documented and is without argument that he knew differently.

Hillary Clinton knowingly broke state department protocol and housed her email on a private server.
SOS Clinton and her staff knowingly obstructed justice and destroyed communication devices.

Trump knows you have to put a stake in the ground.  You cannot fix all the past wrongs.  You don't forget about them, but you don't make this current set of talks about things Kim has done in the past.  There is zero paths forward if you start there, and everyone know that.

Obama and Hillary were never smart enough to put that meeting together.  They would have just taxed us a bunch extra and sent several plane loads of cash, then hope that fixes the problem.

After today's events, we now have four individuals who have plead guilty, one who is in jail after violating his bail requirements, and one being investigated for possible crimes and accused of taking large sums of money in exchange for access to the President.  Does the Right think these guys were unfairly manipulated into their legal troubles or does the Right agree these guys appear to be a bit swampy?

They were only charged because they knew Trump. Trump should pardon Manfort and fire Mueller.  Then get back to making America great.

Because agents cleared Obama's records  using non .gov accounts out of Hillary's email accounts. Says so in the iG report that they needed to clean things up. No political bias there at all, right?

The House wants to call Agent Strzok in and ask what he meant when he texted "No. No he won't.  We'll stop it" to his girlfriend.  If he answers he meant "we the voters" will never allow Trump to win the Presidency, what should their next question be?

Do I win a prize for being the first correct answer?

Agent Strzok will say "we will stop it" meant "we the voters will never allow Trump to win".

If one assumes he meant something more sinister then...

- How does one or more agents keep Trump from winning?  (Feel free to come up with any hypothetical that might work.)

- How come they didn't keep him from winning?

This gotcha moment is like finding one of the Cosby women lying, in hopes she'd gain some money, and assuming we must now conclude all the women are lying.  It's not surprising a defense will grab anything that might help their cause.

Their March 2018 poll has it 28%-24% Reagan over Obama. Still second best.

Polls are worthless.  They tend to be heavy in dense population areas and so, left leaning.  If you dispute this, as President Hillary Clinton her opinion.

I don't think I've characterized polls here but, if I have, I probably stated they are often quite accurate.

I did discuss what percentages mean when it comes to polls.  For example, when you roll two dice, the chances they won't total "10" are 91%.  Does that mean if I hand you two dice and ask you to roll them, they won't roll a 10?  Of course not.

Yes you have - when you were Dewey and it was a poll that favored Republicans.
