My Dawgs played better than I expected, but lots of question marks still. Hope Lu has something she’s working on or observing with those rapid pitching changes, and being she’s paid for it and I’m not... Well, I’ll just trust her on this one.

Always fun to watch Oregon play! Even if it meant a loss for my Dawgs.

Thought on Oregon- great win and they are as advertised.
Georgia- I’m not really sure why the best pitcher on staff didn’t pitch (gray). Who knows how close the game could’ve been. Potentially a 5-3 4-3 game which can go either way . I think the Georgia bats faced one of the best pitchers in the country for sure and made some adjustments late. I think their offense will be ok for sec season I’m just wondering about pitching after gray. I think they’ll be ok though because Oregon is and will be better than any team they’ll face all season.

Oregon looks like a team to beat already, but we already knew they would be. Very solid from them all the way around.

yes I figured. But do u think that viramontes or Donovan from Utah can stifle our offense like Kleist did

If Viramontes is healthy she can literally beat anyone. What she did last season against UCLA was impressive. However she's a ground ball pitcher and that kind of plays into UGA's small ball approach. Donovan could have more success as she's an upbalm pitcher, but with some of the power we saw earlier that could also be trouble. I think this game will be a great test for both teams.

keep my fingers crossed but I’m sure they’ll win over BYU (without McKenna bull) and Oregon State. Utah is the if factor

Hopefully Viramontes is more focused on softball than football this year.

Although we lost to Oregon.. I was honestly impressed with some of the at bats ... after the first  3 innings..  to me UGA already looks better than last year!

Watched this game in person and have to say that Oregon was definitely (as the score indicated) the better team at this point in the season. Kleist was keeping the girls completely off balance for the first half of the game with a good mix of pitches and speeds. That being said, I do feel like this game was closer than the score indicated, and I'd like to think that it would have been much closer if Lu would have left Ablan in to settle down and/or started with Gray.

The missed call on the steal was killer and definitely put momentum back in Oregon's favor. Same thing with the throw out of Milz at the plate late in the game.

Oregon looks to be poised for a big run this year and despite the loss, Georgia looks to be better than many may have predicted.

Great game overall!
